Loving God, Loving Others and Leading Others to do the Same

About Greg Lancaster

Greg Lancaster’s life and ministry are centered on one simple rhythm: loving God, loving people, and helping others do the same. His work, teaching, and leadership flow from a deeply personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a commitment to walk faithfully with those God has entrusted to him.

Greg’s ministry journey was profoundly shaped during his time serving alongside John Kilpatrick before and during the historic Brownsville Revival in Pensacola. During that season, he witnessed the powerful movement of the Holy Spirit and the transforming presence of God touching people from nations around the world. Those experiences helped shape his lifelong commitment to pursuing God’s presence and helping others develop a personal, abiding relationship with Christ.

Greg is the founder and president of Greg Lancaster Ministries (GLM), where he works to encourage churches, ministers, and believers through teaching, media outreach, and relational ministry. His passion is rooted in the words of Jesus in John 15:5:

“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”

For Greg, this message of abiding in Christ is not merely a teaching—it is the foundation of daily life and ministry.

A Life Built Around Abiding With Jesus

Each day begins with time spent with the Lord. Greg’s first priority is abiding with Jesus through prayer, Scripture, and worship. This daily rhythm anchors his heart and provides the foundation for every aspect of his ministry.

From that place of devotion, the rest of the week unfolds through a rhythm of teaching, writing, broadcasting, mentoring leaders, and gathering with the church community. Rather than seeing ministry as a collection of tasks, Greg views it as a life flowing from love—love for God and love for the people God has placed in his life – his love letter back to God for loving Him.

Pastoring and Gathering the Church

Greg serves as the senior pastor of Vine Fellowship Network, a ministry of Greg Lancaster Ministries. With more than three decades of ministry experience dating back to 1991, he continues to shepherd believers and encourage healthy church community.

Weekly gatherings with the church family are a central part of this rhythm. These times of fellowship include worship, prayer, shared meals, encouragement, and the study of God’s Word. Greg often describes these gatherings as life-giving moments where believers are strengthened together in faith and relationship.

Teaching, Media, and Global Outreach

Greg has also devoted much of his life to sharing the Gospel through media. His work includes founding and producing ministries such as:

VFNtv, The Greg Lancaster Show, Vine Fellowship Network, Vine Seminars, VFN Related Ministers (VFNRM), Next Step Outback, The Torch, Baptize Pensacola, and our passion for missions.

Through television broadcasts, podcasts, writing, and digital platforms, Greg has helped share the message of Jesus Christ with people across the world. His heart is to see individuals and families discover a personal relationship with Christ and grow in spiritual maturity.

In addition to teaching and broadcasting, he contributes to ministry development efforts, leadership training, and media coverage of Christian events throughout the Gulf Coast region.

Walking With Leaders

A significant part of Greg’s calling is walking alongside leaders and ministers. Over the years he has mentored many who serve in different spheres of ministry. Some know him as a pastor, some as a mentor, spiritual father in Christ, and many as a friend.

Greg often emphasizes that leadership can be lonely and that every leader needs encouragement, accountability, and spiritual friendship. His own life was shaped by spiritual fathers who invested in him, including John Kilpatrick and Ken Sumrall. In the same spirit, he now seeks to invest in others through counsel, prayer, and relational support.

Writing, Music, and Ministry Development

Greg’s weekly rhythm also includes writing articles, developing ministry initiatives, and creating music. Through projects connected to The Torch and other ministry efforts, he continues to produce teaching resources that encourage believers to live faithfully with Christ.

Music is another creative expression of worship in his life. Writing and releasing songs allows him to communicate truth and worship in a way that connects with both the heart and the mind.

A Life Devoted to What Matters Most

At the center of everything Greg does is a simple desire: to draw people closer to Jesus.
Whether through preaching, mentoring, writing, music, media outreach, or personal conversations, his life’s work reflects a commitment to helping people develop a deep and abiding relationship with Christ.

For Greg, ministry is not simply work or responsibility—it is a life given in response to the love of God.
As Hebrews 6:10 reminds us:

“For God is not unjust; He will not forget your work and the love you have shown Him as you have helped His people and continue to help them.”

Greg continues to live out that calling—faithfully loving God, loving people, and helping others do the same.

If you feel the Lord may be calling you to relate personally, ministerially, with your church, or as a spiritual son or daughter, you can explore that possibility under the Lord’s leadership here.
