The A.I. Dilemma and The Church
A teaching series on discernment, the image of God, and how the Church can walk wisely in the age of artificial intelligence.
Why I Am Sharing This Series
Artificial intelligence is moving fast. It can help doctors, connect families, and open doors we never imagined. It can also shape minds, watch movements, replace work, and quietly ask for a kind of trust that belongs to God alone.
I am not sharing this to stir fear. I am sharing it to help you see clearly, stay close to Jesus, and prepare your heart for the days we are already walking through.
Could This Be the Image?
In Revelation 13:1-18, John sees an image that deceives, speaks, and calls for worship. The question is not whether technology is interesting. The question is whether we will recognize a system that looks helpful while it pulls hearts away from the living God.
AI has leapt forward through language and neural networks. Machines now sound like us, write like us, and increasingly act in ways that feel personal. Think about it. What happens when people begin to treat a tool like a companion, a guide, or even a god?
Do Not Exchange His Glory
Scripture warns us about exchanging the glory of God for an image (Romans 1:21-23). Screens can become altars. Feeds can become counselors. Convenience can become a quiet master.
We were made in God’s image. No machine can carry His Spirit, know His love, or replace the family of God walking together in truth.
The Mind of Christ, Not the Mind of the Machine
The world is training people to think like algorithms: fast, reactive, and hungry for more. God calls us to something better. 1 Corinthians 2:14-16 reminds us that we have the mind of Christ.
In this series we look at jobs and cyborgs, surveillance and the beast economy, Mount Carmel moments, authentic relationships, the war on Jesus, singularity dreams, and the pull of a dystopian reset. Through it all, the call is the same: know your enemy, cling to Jesus, and do not trade real love for a counterfeit.
