The Promised Holy Spirit: The Persecuted Church – Part 13

By looking at the Church in the Book of Acts, there are some profound realities that we see taking place: The Gospel was spread rapidly; and, there was also great persecution. In Matthew 10:23, Jesus said, " When you are persecuted in one place, flee to another." If we are walking with Jesus as Jesus has called us to walk, then persecution is a daily indicator of the life that Jesus has called us to. The problem that we run into: if we are not encountering persecution, are we sharing the WHOLE message that Jesus shared? If we cannot stand boldly for Jesus in the good times, how can we stand unwaveringly in the face of persecution? The only thing that we have to offer Jesus is what we endure for Him.
