On that day, the world watched in horror as the nations were informed of how Israel was attacked on its Southern border from the Gaza Strip. The border was overrun, and Israeli civilians were struck by surprise when Hamas militants poured into neighboring cities bringing about the most horrific and evil terror to men, women, and children, thus taking hundreds of captives back into the Gaza Strip. Israel immediately responded by sending ground forces in order to defend itself from such a ruthless attack.
In response to these events, the nations of the world have experienced demonstrations and marches demanding for the nation of Israel to have a ceasefire and stop attacking the Gaza Strip. How can so many nations around the world be fixated on such a small piece of land in the Middle East no larger than the size of New Jersey, and demand that they not defend themselves? Because it’s God’s land, and it’s God’s people: the Jews. Some followers of Jesus have taken a sideline approach to the topic of Israel and the Jewish people not liking the backlash that comes from that topic.
