Baptism Preparedness for Baptize Pensacola

 

Thank you for signing up to be baptized at Baptize Pensacola!

We are celebrating with you as you prepare to take this powerful step of faith and obedience to Jesus Christ through water baptism. It’s going to be a beautiful and unforgettable day on the beach as lives are transformed in the name of Jesus.

Check-in:

  • Check-in tent will be opened at 8:00 AM
  • Feel free to come early, but please check in to receive your name badge or register if you have not already done so. If you registered online at BaptizePensacola.org (the best way to register), your name badge will be waiting for you at the check-in tent. If not, we’ll be able to issue you one on the day of the event.

What Happens Next

  • When you arrive, please check in at the Baptism Check-In Table, where you’ll receive further instructions and be guided to your baptism group.
  • Important: On the day of the event, our team may not be able to respond to calls or messages as we will be fully engaged with the baptisms on the beach.
  • Event begins at 9:00 AM

Volunteer Arrival

  • Volunteers: Arrive at 7:00 AM
  • Setup & Breakdown Team: Arrive at 6:00 AM

What to Wear

For Participants Being Baptized:

  • Wear dark, modest clothing (dark t-shirt and shorts are ideal)
  • Avoid white, light-colored, or thin fabrics that can become see-through when wet
  • Clothing should be suitable for full water immersion
  • Bring a full change of dry clothes and a towel

For Volunteers Baptizing Others:

  • Wear modest, conservative clothing (dark shirts/shorts or athletic wear recommended)
  • Avoid white or light-colored clothing, revealing outfits, or tight clothing
  • Wear secure footwear (water shoes recommended)
  • Bring a towel and change of clothes

What to Bring

To help you feel comfortable, prepared, and focused on this special moment:

  • Towel – For drying off after baptism
  • Change of Clothes – Dry clothes to wear after immersion
  • Sunscreen – Essential sun protection
  • Bottled Water – At least one 16.9 oz (0.5 liter) bottle per person. Plan for 16.7 oz per person every 2 hours in the heat.  THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!
  • Sunglasses – To reduce glare from the water
  • Flip-Flops or Water Shoes – For walking in sand and water
  • Waterproof Bag – To protect phones, keys, and valuables*
  • Beach Chair or Blanket – For waiting and watching
  • Snacks & Toiletries – Light snacks and personal care items
