Vexed, Overcoming the Demonic (Part 13) Preparation of the Bride

We live in these last days which is filled with so much darkness.  Despite all of this darkness, the light of God’s Word doesn’t change, those who are believers, the Global Church are the Church, the Body of Christ, the Bride of Christ.  This message is about the importance of being the Bride of Christ and Jesus’ expectation of us to make ourselves ready.  Many have been told there is nothing they need to do, yet the word declares “The Bride has Made Herself Ready.” Revelation 19:7 There has been much darkness that has been loosed in these last days it is going to be “hard as hell, to live holy.  You are going to have to have the help of the Holy Spirit.”  There is such a spirit of darkness that has been loosed it makes you feel like you can participate in the darkness just like everyone else and everything is going to be alright, but it will not.  “Let the one who does wrong continue to do wrong; let the vile person continue to be vile; let the one who does right continue to do right; and let the holy person continue to be holy."  Revelation 22:11 As the Bride of Christ, we “cleanse ourselves from sin” by asking the Lord’s forgiveness, repenting from it, and living separate from the world, from darkness, and follow Jesus, our Bridegroom.  We want to be among the five bridesmaids who “made themselves ready” and were prepared for their Bridegroom’s return.  We’re saved by Grace, through faith, and we are called to live holy lives, to make ourselves ready.  Just like those who may have once walked with God, but have since turned away from the faith, we need to always check ourselves to make sure we’ve not fallen and are in the faith.  We may consider fasting and prayer to help us make ourselves ready.  Fasting doesn’t save us but helps us deal with our bodies which desires to always sin. “The time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them, and on that day they will fast.”  Mark 2:20 A bride who fasts and prays, longing for her Bridegroom to return, is a bride who is willing to make herself ready.   We don’t earn our salvation, but we can walk away from it.  Better said, we could be a part of the great falling away from it. 2 Thessalonians 2:3 NKJV
