The Bible tells us in 2 Timothy 2:20-21 “In a large house there are articles not only of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay; some are for special purposes and some for common use. Those who cleanse themselves from the latter will be instruments for special purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work.” They continue to discuss how you have to let go of what was to take hold of what is by faith. God is trying to shape you into a beautiful vessel he can use. They encourage us to allow him to transform, mold and shape us. We must be willing to let go of things and seasons in our life to embrace what God wants to bring us to. You must be willing to give up the vessel you are now and put yourself on the potter’s wheel and allow God to do the shaping and molding of you so that you can be a new vessel designed and shaped for a special purpose. You use to be a small juice glass vessel that was good to be poured into; God wants to make you a vessel that is used in Hands to pour out into others that which He has poured into you.
