Recently, a meeting of leaders from around the nation came together and responded to the voice of the Lord. Powerful testimonies of healings and empathy were surfaced that were never before realized or possibly understood. This particular meeting was another answer to prayer. The sin of oppression and slavery has to be dealt with in order to release what is about to happen. Just this week, Pastor Len Ballenger of Jubilee Christian International hosted a panel of pastors to begin a conversation about diversity in the church. Be encouraged and greatly inspired as you hear of the journey of confirmations and affirmations from the Lord that led to where we are now, and so much more. Also shared in this segment: diversity, military, ethnos, nations, Azusa Street Revival, justice, mindsets, spiritual warfare, history, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., slavery, segregation, empathy, healing, John Wayne, The Hand of God, 2020, Harlem, leadership, and love. Greg, Pat and John shared in this segment. See original article HERE.

Could you imagine being a trusted business owner, then someone steals from you, and because you confronted the thief you are falsely accused of being racist? Unfortunately, this happened in a local store at Oberlin College, in the state of Ohio. We want to encourage and remind you as leaders and citizens in America that you have rights when you are falsely accused of something. Racism is evil! Being falsely accused of racism is evil too. There is justice in America, and we look at a case that took place in Ohio with Oberlin College and Gibson Bakery and Candy, a local store since 1885, where the falsely accused received justice.
Daniel McGraw with the Quillette reported the facts and the facts are that three African American Oberlin students tried to buy wine with a fake ID but were underage so they could not buy it but after that one of the students was caught trying to steal two bottles of wine. Gibson’s store called the police, and the students were arrested. The student that tried to steal the wine was held in jail on a felony charge of robbery. Immediately Oberlin College campus protested the arrest of the students stating that the students had been racially profiled by a racist white business. Two to three hundred students protested outside of the store the day after the incident. Once the college saw the protest, they started circulating communications that they supported the protests and openly agreeing that this was racial profiling. They protested to the point of canceling their purchase agreement with the store and the “student senate” passed what they called a resolution stating, “the Students of Oberlin College immediately cease all support, financial and otherwise, of Gibson’s Food Market and Bakery.”
Within a week a report was released from the police showing the arrests for shoplifting at Gibson’s that had happened from January 2011 to November 2016. There was a total of 40 arrests, 33 were college students, 32 were white, 80%, six were African American, 15%, and two were Asian, 5%.
The Gibson’s spent so much money on this trial that they went from eight to one employee by the end of the trial. They were losing their income, and how they lived because of the false allegations of racism, so they chose to sue the college. All they wanted was for the college to send out an email to the community stating that the Gibson’s were not racist, and if they did the charges would be dropped, but the school declined. During the court proceedings, the college could have said they were wrong at any time, but they wouldn’t, so the college was found guilty and had to award the Gibson’s with $44 million!
All three students who were initially arrested read this statement in court – “I believe the employees of Gibson’s actions were not racially motivated they were merely trying to prevent an underage sale.”
What is racism? It is defined as prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one’s own race is superior. Based on this definition you could be racist against any race!
The American court system found that the college was guilty of making false claims against the Gibson’s. There is justice in America! Many people are trying to do away with the U.S. Constitution, saying it is an outdated document and are against America and our Founding Fathers. Because of the Sixth Amendment, the Gibson’s were able to find justice!
What is the Sixth Amendment? It reads, In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defense.
Don’t give up on America and our Constitution because when things are done in the right order, the remedy can be justice in the courts. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. said, “Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.” This is the opposite of what Oberlin College did! Because of their false accusations, it made light of true racism. Oberlin reportedly made this false allegation because they want to keep their students happy. Enrollment is down and with so many schools to choose to attend, that they are following along with the students to keep them and their money and to attract other students to their college as well.
The question many are asking right now is that is America racist? President Barak Obama even stated that racism is in our DNA but is this true? He was the first African American president in America, and he was elected for two terms, so how is his statement true? Larry Elder for Prager University reports on racism in America and helps to answer these questions.
“Is racism still a major problem in America? President Barack Obama certainly thinks so. He said that racism is “in our DNA.” Really? If racism is in our DNA, doesn’t that mean it’s immutable, unchangeable? But America has changed and dramatically so. In 1960, 60% of Americans said they would never vote for a black president. Almost 50 years later, the black man who said racism is in America’s DNA was elected president, and four years later re-elected. That’s only the most obvious example of racial progress. There are many others.
“Take inter-racial marriage. As William H. Frey of the Brookings Institution wrote, “Sociologists have traditionally viewed multiracial marriage as a benchmark for the ultimate stage of assimilation of a particular group into society.” Black-white marriages were still illegal in 16 states until 1967. And a 1958 Gallup poll found that only 4% of Americans approved of black-white marriages. Today that number is 87%. In 1960, of all marriages by blacks, only 1.7 percent were black-white. Today, it’s 12 percent and rising.
“Now what about “racial profiling” and abuse of blacks by police? Doesn’t that prove that racism remains a major problem? In the summer of 2014, Ferguson, Missouri became ground zero for this accusation when a white policeman shot and killed an unarmed black teenager. While a Department of Justice investigation of the incident cleared the officer of any wrongdoing, it did accuse the city’s police department of racial bias. But what was the Justice Department report’s most headline-grabbing stat? The gap between the percentage of blacks living in Ferguson — 67% — and the percentage of those stopped by police for traffic violation who are black — 85%. An 18-point discrepancy. Racism, right? Not so fast. Blacks comprise 25% of New York City but account for 55% of those stopped for traffic offenses — a 30-point discrepancy, far bigger than that of Ferguson. Why isn’t the NYPD, a department that is now majority-minority, considered even more institutionally racist than the Ferguson PD? The answer is you cannot have an honest discussion about police conduct without an honest discussion of black crime. Though blacks are 13% of the population, they commit 50% of the nation’s homicides, and almost always the victim is another black person, just as most white homicides are against other whites. In 2012, according to the Center for Disease Control, police killed 123 blacks, while, by the way, killing over twice that many whites. But that same year blacks killed over 6,000 people — again, mostly other blacks.
“What about traffic stops? Unlike when responding to dispatch calls, police officers exercise more discretion when it comes to traffic stops. Therefore “racist” cops can have a field day when it comes to traffic stops, right? Actually, no. The National Institute of Justice is the research agency of the Department of Justice. In 2013, the National Institute of Justice published a study called “Race, Trust, and Police Legitimacy.” Three out of four black drivers admitted that they were stopped by the police for a “legitimate reason.” Blacks, compared to whites, were on average more likely to commit speeding and other traffic offenses. The Institute wrote, “Seatbelt usage is chronically lower among black drivers. If a law enforcement agency aggressively enforces seatbelt violations, police will stop more black drivers.” The NIJ’s conclusion? These numerical disparities result from “differences in offending” — in other words, not because of racism.
“Similarly, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration also found that blacks violate traffic laws at higher rates than whites — in every offense, whether it’s driving without a license, not wearing a seat belt, not using a child safety seat or speeding.
“Is there still racism in America? Of course, there is. But racism is not in America’s DNA. Recent history and a lot of research and data prove it. As liberal Harvard sociologist Orlando Patterson said, America, “is now the least racist white-majority society in the world; has a better record of legal protections of minorities than any other society, white or black; offers more opportunities to a greater number of black persons than any other society, including all of those of Africa.” Patterson, by the way, is black.”
Facts matter! People are speaking lies over America and taking advantage of people. They are grabbing onto the pain of someone and using it for their political gain! Don’t believe the false narrative that is being spoken over America. What we need to need is be the truth and believe the truth and find the truth. If the truth is bad, then we need to repent and change what it is. Jesus came to the earth to be the truth! He stayed true even to the point of dying on the cross! We are called to do the same thing. If we love others, then we will speak the truth out and lay our lives down for others. Be sure to watch or listen to the full segment to hear more! There were powerful miracles that God did in the Azusa Now event celebrating the 110th anniversary of the Azusa Street Revival in Los Angeles, California. For the Church to walk in the power of healing, we must humbly embrace repentance and forgiveness. In America, our nation is experiencing such a tension of racial division, but this doesn’t mean that God can’t still do awesome work. As the Church, it matters how we handle and respond to the issue of race in our nation.
As Lou Engle and a friend were seeking the Lord for revival, the man had a dream. In this dream, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was carrying a white bag with black handles. MLK, Jr. turned the bag upside down and violently shook out the contents of the bag and threw it to the ground. When the man went to pick up the bag, MLK, Jr. said, “NO!” After seeking the Lord for the interpretation of the dream, the Lord revealed, “It’s a white bag, and it’s the black handles. This is how your generation of blacks, African Americans, have handled the white baggage. You’ve been carrying it for way too long.” The words the man continues to share cannot be ignored. “Get rid of your bitterness. Get rid of your resentment. Get rid of your unforgiveness. Get rid of your guilt manipulation. Get rid of your white baggage so that we can all get into this new vehicle that’s gonna bring revival and justice for everybody.” The question for all of us is, “What color is your baggage?”
With representatives from all across America, Selma, Birmingham, Ferguson, Los Angeles, who have suffered from the tensions of racial division, a man shares this powerful thought, “I believe that if we had continued in that supernatural grace, poured out at Azusa Street, there would have been no need for an American Civil Rights Movement because all of the generational wounding, the trauma, and the pain, as well as the institutional racism, the structures that keep men in oppression, would have crumbled under the power of the One who reconciles all things…I believe (God) didn’t want a Civil Rights Movement; He wanted a Civil Righteousness Movement inaugurated by Jesus Christ on the Cross built upon the revelation of the resurrected Christ.”
This man continues to share how the tag line for the Azusa Street Revival was the Comforter has come! No matter who we are, where we come from, or what our history may be, God is intimately aware of the oppression that has taken place in our lives. God cares about every injustice. He is Justice. If we do not forgive others, God will not forgive us. Are we ready to forgive? The only answer to a divided nation is a unified Church. “Perhaps your baggage you thought was your pain, but I would suggest our baggage might be how we think about our pain.”
“For it is commendable if someone bears up under the pain of unjust suffering because they are conscious of God.” 1 Peter 2:19
“If we want to be reconciled to men, we must first be reconciled to God…are we willing to empty our bags?” Are you ready to forgive? How you know this is that you are willing to unify and ready to deal with the issues in your life. And that you are ready to be around those that you have held unforgiveness against.
Much oppression and persecution are coming on the face of the earth, and we will need each other! Also, a great harvest of souls is coming as well, and unity in the Church is a must. A move of God requires us all to come together!
It is important that we do not come into agreement with the enemy, the accuser of the Church. We can’t believe the lies that the enemy sows and in the Word of God it points out that satan“…accuses them before our God day and night…,” Revelation 12:10. If we give validity to the thoughts or words that criticize others, then we agree with satan’s plans and not God’s plans. Allen Hood, with International House of Prayer, shares a powerful prophetic word about what God is doing to combat the plans and schemes of satan. “The Lord is raising up a global upper room to war 24/7 against the accuser of the brethren that accuses the saint’s day and night. God is raising up a house of prayer to answer the accusation of satan and God is going to anoint that prayer meeting and bring forth a John 17:21 moment of exalting the Lamb, exalting the name of Jesus.”
Let us stand united together as they did at Azusa Now and ask God for these powerful words to come to pass! We need revival right now! We want to hear from you and what you think about this! You can write to us at Friends@VFNKB.com. Greg and John shared in this segment.

CBN News reports on the history of how Planned Parenthood started. Margaret Sanger began this organization with a focus on abortion among African American’s. Reportedly “In many black communities, for every child born, three others are aborted. More than double the rate among whites.” Bishop Daniel Robertson, with Mt. Gilead Baptist Church is working to stop abortion and leads those seeking abortion to adoption instead. “We go to the abortion clinics and ask people; there are other alternatives, we try to educate people, let them know you don’t have to do this.” As CBN News’ Charlene Aaron additionally highlights, “Black Americans were long ago targets of the abortion industry. In the early 20th Century, Margaret Sanger founded Planned Parenthood; an organization that later became the nation’s largest abortion provider…Sanger encouraged abortion and sterilization to limit the size of black families.” Pastor Clenard Childress, Jr founder of Black Genocide.org, boldly declares, “[abortion] is black genocide.” As Pastor Childress explains, Sanger used the African American minister to advance her agenda, because of this he points out, “The colored minister, the Negro minister, the African American minister is pivotal right now, in addressing the abortion issue because we have been silent due to political ties and due to some misinformation.”

Father’s Heart Wrenching Warning after Daughter Sex Trafficked
Many relationships are being made through social media in our current generation. Some are good relationships, and some are deadly. We hear from a father who talks about how his daughter was always on social media and how he was surprised to find out it led her to travel to meet someone she met online. It ended in her being a victim of a sex sting operation.
“Yesterday, I get a call from the sheriff, and they have my child in San Jose, and she had been a victim of a sting.” He further describes what had taken place. “It was a nationwide investigation company that was investigating minors being sold online for sex.”
“By the grace of God, it was this man and not a real man that set up a date with my 17-year-old child. She is not innocent, but she was definitely manipulated…This could happen to anybody’s child. You think your kids on the phone, or on the internet, whatever, you think you know what they’re doing…this world doesn’t care about our children man; we got to!”
If this was a true sex trafficker then she could have been gone forever because of the relationship she made online. Social media is made to look like reality, but you have no idea who you are talking to when you are talking to someone online. Technology cannot take the place of authentic relationships because it is not real. Watch this father as he shares openly about how we need to be careful and keep an eye on what our children are doing. Greg and Steve shared in this segment.

Women Making Major Contributions in Science Technology, Engineering, Mathematics
America’s President Donald Trump has put into action many executive orders for the good of our country. In an Executive Order, he is supporting women in the STEM industries, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Women should have an equal opportunity to be hired for these higher paying jobs and now women’s unemployment is at a 66 year low! As Paul said, “There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” These words are still true today. We should look at everyone as an equal. President Trump shares these words concerning women in the STEM industry, “Currently, only one in every four women who gets a STEM degree is working in a STEM job, which is not fair and it’s not even smart for the people that aren’t taking advantage of it. It’s unacceptable that we have so many American women who have these degrees but yet are not being employed in these fields.”
This is so exciting to see this taking place in our nation! As believers, we should stand on God’s Word and treat everyone as an equal, and it is encouraging to see our President doing the same. Greg and Steve shared in this segment.

A Movement for Transformational Change; VFNKB – Join the Movement
Charisma News is reporting on, Lance Wallnau and Rick Joyner’s discussion how the Church is presently not responding the way it needs to. “I’m jumping out of my skin because I’m hearing people say stuff that on one hand, it’s anointed, but on the other hand, I hear the datedness of how we think because we all go back to the old paradigm.” When addressing the chaotic events of Hurricane Katrina, Lance highlights how the Church didn’t have a plan to respond to the many needs that presented themselves. “The Body of Christ in America has got to become as muscular and coherent in modeling answers to problems as the progressive left is.”
With this in mind, Lance expresses the importance that we, individually, must know where God has called us to make an impact for the Kingdom of God. “Individuals should be oracles in their sphere; they should know what giant they’re after…like a good military thing. If you’re moving in all directions, you’re not moving anywhere. Everyone here should know what sphere they’re called to go into, and how to articulate in a powerful and compelling way the truth that displaces the lie…you guys have got to go from being polite conservative that are disengaged to mobilized conservative with activist views that you believe in.”
At VFNKB we have been walking this out. We talk about the seven spheres of culture which we call the seven mountains of culture, business, education, government, family, faith, arts and entertainment, and media. God wants you to have the tools you need to succeed in whichever mountain you are called to. Be a part of VFNKB to obtain the tools needed, to be encouraged, and also to work with others and together we can further the Kingdom of God! Greg and John shared in this segment.

President Donald Trump met with African American pastors from all over America which is very encouraging because the Church is being heard! We appreciate all the pastor’s representing the Church at the White House. Rasmussen reported that President Trumps approval ratings among black voters is now at 29% and this time last year is was at 15%. This is great news! Bishop Harry Jackson is interviewed on CBN News, after his and the other pastor’s, meeting with President Trump. Unfortunately, people have responded with hatred to this meeting and have said terrible things about these great men and women who have stood up boldly for God, for those who need help and have stood up for what is right. Bishop Jackson responds to those that have said and done these terrible things.
He first comments on what Pastor Jamal Bryant has said which Pastor Bryant didn’t feel that the pastor’s pressed the president on current issues. Bishop Jackson says that he loves Pastor Bryant, but he got it wrong this time. “What he doesn’t understand is that you can’t be a prophet to the culture while you’re standing outside of the room, many of the people who came into that meeting knew they would be misunderstood, disrespected, lied on, talked about, but they came anyway because the needs of the people, especially returning citizens, are so important. I believe this is the greatest civil rights issue of our generation. The overcriminalization of minorities and what are we the church gonna advocate for?”
Bishop Jackson’s next comments are concerning the meeting only being a “photo op”. “They don’t understand that I’ve been talking about 15 months about these issues. They don’t understand that I cried and prayed and fasted that God would move on the hearts of these leaders in this administration. They want to diminish my heart and my spirituality and they just don’t understand that if this stuff is going on in America is gonna get fixed, we’re gonna have to call on supernatural, biblical authority to break the chains that bind, and break the curse of generational poverty on blacks and Hispanics in our nation. So, my heart is to see America blaze in the glory of God. My heart is, I don’t care what people say about me, but can Jesus use me? Can He move in our nation?” He is emotional as he talks, “Forgive me, my heart is a little bit touched today.” This is so powerful!
Concerning Bishop Jackson’s comment stating that his heart is to see America ablaze in the glory of God matches what Pastor John Kilpatrick, pastor of Church of His Presence, has said. Pastor Kilpatrick, shares a prophetic word that Dr. Yonggi Cho gave. God said to Dr. Cho, first I will pour out My Spirit on Pensacola, Florida, “It will burn like a matchhead, bright, and it will be powerful…then it will go over to the Mississippi River and it’ll back up across Florida again; come down into the Peninsula Florida, go up the East Coast, down to the West and Southwest, shoot out the Northwest; and before My coming all of America will be ablaze with the Glory of God.”
We want to hear from you concerning this and what you think about it! Bishop Jackson had a great response concerning terrible things that have been said and we can see that he truly cares for and loves America. You can write to us at friends@greglancaster.org. Greg and John shared in this segment.

In February 2018, Brianna Bolender had a prophetic dream concerning President Trump and how he would be the best representative for African Americans. She shared her dream at Vine Fellowship Network Dream Center, and we are now seeing this dream come to pass! In this dream, she was walking with President Donald Trump, one of his advisors, and a young African American man, in what appeared to be a large store, like a Sam’s Club. “As we’re going through the aisles, each aisle was an issue. Like taxes and poverty.” She continues to share how, what appeared to be a national poll on past presidents, was at the end of one aisle. “They had done this nationwide poll of something to the effect of ‘what administration did you [the African American Community] feel the most represented or edified.’” As she describes how she saw the results of the poll, she could see the name of Obama overwhelmingly circled. She continues, “you could tell that this poll had been done before because [Bill] Clinton’s name was there and those who had selected Clinton before scratched that out and circled Obama.” It was then that the young, energetic African American man who had been walking and talking the entire time said this revealing statement. “You see, they felt they were edified or represented by this Administration. But, the truth is, they lost their identity in that Administration.” God is responding to the injustice that has been happening in America and told us it would happen. “For the Lord God does nothing without revealing His secret to His servants the prophets.” Amos 3:7 God revealed His plan before it happened and now we see this prophetic dream unfolding as President Trump met with African American pastor’s from around the nation.
Pastor Darrell Scott, of New Spirit Revival Center in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, speaks at the White House and confirms the prophetic dream that Brianna Bolender had. “I’ve had the honor and privilege to work with then-candidate, now President Trump, and to observe him behind the scenes and have a number of personal conversations with him. And people ask me why do I defend him so vociferously. And I say it’s easy for me to do it because I know him, and he’s shown me his heart, and I know he has a heart for all Americans. And I will say this: This administration has taken a lot of people by surprise. And it’s going to surprise you guys even more, because this is probably the most proactive administration regarding urban America and the faith-based community in my lifetime. And I’ll be 60 years old in December. But when I think back on well, I mean, I use good hair dye. And I’ve got a great makeup artist. But, to be honest, this is probably going to be the and I’m going to say this at this table the most pro-black President that we’ve had in our lifetime because and I try to, you know, analyze the people that I encounter. This President actually wants to prove something to our community, our faith-based community and our ethnic community. The last President didn’t feel like he had to. He felt like he didn’t have to prove it. He got a pass. This President is this administration is probably going to be more proactive regarding urban revitalization and prison reform than any President in your lifetime. If we work together, give him a chance. Don’t pay any attention to these guys back here. (pointing to the media) And I’ll promise you, we will do something that, we will, this administration will continue to make history. It’s going to be a lot of positive changes. Great things are on the horizon, I promise.” This is confirming and powerful, thank you Pastor Scott for representing the Church!
This is not man’s doing! This is God doing this great act of justice in America! These are great days for the Church! We can be the light and be powerful for the Kingdom of God! We want to hear from you! Greg and John shared in this segment.

These are exciting days! We continue the conversation with part three, where pastors met with President Donald Trump at the White House. We are seeing historical events take place, with unemployment for African Americans, Hispanics, and Asians, is at the lowest ever in our history! And for women it is as a 66-year low! Great things are taking place in America and God is answering our prayers.
Pastor Sharon Nesbitt is the next pastor to speak. She is the Senior Pastor of Dominion Church in Marion, Arkansas. “I wanted to say thank you for your policies on prison reform and urban initiatives. As you know, Arkansas has one of the largest prison rates in the country. So, thank you for getting us back to the table, and for your faith-based initiatives to let us come to the table.” It is very encouraging to see pastor’s caring for the prison reform! Thank you, Pastor Nesbitt for representing the Church at the White House!
Next is Bishop Darrell Hines, of Christian Faith Fellowship Church of God in Christ, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. “I serve on the general board of the Church of God in Christ, where we have a five-point, faith-based initiative for inner city reform. And, of course, prison is one of them. And so, I appreciate, first of all, being invited to the table. It’s an interesting thing because I was watching news I watch news all the time. And I saw you on the news this was just last week. And I said, “You know, I would love to go and have him hear me.” But I said, “I don’t know how that’s possible. I don’t know anybody who I think who knows him. And then I get the call from…I get it(call) from Marvin, Jr. He calls me, and he says, “Listen, I want you to go with me to the White House.” And I think the most interesting thing about this moment is that we hear several things, but to know you hear us is an encouraging moment. And I want to thank you for taking this time to invite us to the White House, and then taking the time to hear us concerning our concerns in our community and in our faith, because they both need the ear of the President. So thank you.” Thank you, Bishop Hines for representing the Church at the White House!
Reverend William “Bill” Owens makes his remarks next. He is the founder and President of the Coalition of African American Pastors. “I’m honored to be here with you today. We’ve met several times. Thank you, Dr. Scott, for the invitation and Paula White to be here. And we are with you, 100 percent. I’m with Bishop Hines and the Church of God in Christ. We are all in it together. So, we will work together to make the difference.” Dr. Alveda King remarks that Reverend Owens marched with her Uncle, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Thank you Reverend Owens for representing the Church at the White House!
Next, we hear from Pastor Mike Freeman, of Spirit of Faith Christian Center, in Washington, D.C. “This is a very critical time that we’re in. One of the things I remember the most and recall about a statement you made when you were running, you said if you were able to win the White House, that Christians would have a friend in the White House. I was really eager to find out whether or not that word would be kept as such. To be sitting here with you today, as a representative of the Christian community, it is so wonderful. I’m elated to know, first of all, that you’re a man of your word. Secondly, you have an ear to hear from God. With your having an ear to hear from God, this country is in great hands. My prayer for you is that your ear will always be open to the wisdom and the spirit of God. And I’m praying for you constantly, and everything I pray for comes to pass. God bless you.” Pastor Freeman thank you for expressing how much of the Church is feeling about President Trump!
Bishop Dale Bronner makes his remarks next. He is Senior Pastor and founder of Word of Faith Family Worship Cathedral, in Atlanta, Georgia. “We’ve been doing business there in Atlanta for all of these years and employing people. So, thank you so much. I love the stimulation that I see in the economy now. It is the best that it has been in so many, many years. And I’m so deeply, deeply grateful for all the prison reform initiatives that I see underway that is exciting and enthralling to me as well as the urban initiatives that will help minority communities around this country. Thank you so much for your boldness and your courage to do to make great things happen. And you’re making them happen.” Thank you Bishop Bronner for representing the Church at the White House!
Bishop Harry Jackson speaks next, he is the Senior Pastor at Hope Christian Church, in Beltsville, Maryland. “First of all, I really feel called to pray for you. And the year before you as you ran, I felt that burden; I felt that feeling that you were going to win. And I’m so very thankful, as he said, that you’re so open. Criminal justice reform is so critical because it prevents many African Americans and Hispanics from becoming a permanent underclass. And I think the opportunities-owned concepts that you’re working with are critical because it brings green power. We really don’t need black power unless you got some green power working with that black power. It brings green power to our urban areas. So, I believe we can break the generational curse of poverty and people who are isolated, and it’s because of your boldness. And despite all that’s been coming against you, you’ve stood your ground and you’ve been a champion. God bless you, sir.” Bishop Jackson thank you for representing the Church at the White House!
Pastor John Gray, Senior Pastor of Relentless Church in Greenville, South Carolina, makes his remarks next. “I am grateful for the opportunity to be at this table at a time in our country where faith is becoming a bit of a dinosaur. In a time of moral relativism and secular humanism, it is refreshing to know that those of us who have committed our lives to fighting for people who cannot fight for themselves have a seat at the table to share our hearts. I believe that the very best principles of scripture call us to fight for the poor, for the oppressed, for those who have made mistakes. Criminal justice reform is an opportunity to give a second and third chance to those who want to become productive members of society. Our nation cannot forget the broken. It is in the best tradition of our nation to fight for them. And when I think about the history of the church in this country, we have always fought for those who could not fight for themselves. So, when I think of those who are coming out of prison who want to contribute, this is critical. When I think of veterans I have here the obituary of my uncle who passed away a few weeks ago. He was 77. He was a veteran in the U.S. Army and he battled through mental illness and other challenges. And we saw systemic poverty multi-generational poverty. But had he been resourced with the proper care and had he been resourced with other necessities, he could have contributed even more. And so, I’m very grateful for you, for this administration that’s allowing for the conversation. And again, my prayer is that you will continue to have wisdom and insight to lead this nation. Truly, all of us are created equal. And so, thank you for giving us an equal opportunity to fight for this nation and what it means to be an American.” Thank you, Pastor Gray for representing the Church at the White House!
We want to hear from you! If you are associated with any of these Church’s get in touch with us! You can write to us at friends@greglancaster.org. Greg and John shared in this segment.
