We Fasted; God Spoke
Greg, John, Pat, and Chris discuss the wonderful things the Lord shared with us as the VFN family fasted and sought God. This was a time to embrace weakness and when we are weak God is made strong. We embrace weakness every day when we don’t follow the way of our flesh and obey God. We also embrace weakness when we enter a time of fasting. The Lord spoke so much during this time. He continued to remind us that it was going to be some of worst and best of times together and that the move of God that is coming will be wide sweeping including many. He spoke to us about his Love for us and empowered us to love others more deeply with the revelation of how he first loved us. He even confirmed this period of fasting with a sign in the heavens.
Channels of His Love
John, Greg, and Pat share how God wants us to be channels of his love. John 15:12-13, My command is this; Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this; that he lay down his life for his friends. Jesus gives us a command not a suggestion to walk in love and to do it in the same manner he has so loved us. Jesus’ love was on display and he gave his life for us; we should do the same. The greatest way we can display and move in love is when we willingly lay our life down for others. Our life, wishes, desires, wants etc. Not our will but God’s will. He has called us to be channels of his love. His love flows through us when we are not in the way. If we get ourselves out of the way then the love of God can reach the multitudes.
Wicked Men consistently fleeing; why?
In this moment of wisdom found in Proverbs 28:1, The wicked man flees though no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion.” Greg shares how many wicked men and women can never stay in one place. They are always shifting, moving, changing jobs and run whenever they are in the presence of real authority. It’s time to stop acting cowardly in sin and repent. Those who are righteous are as bold as a lion. Begin to trust God where you are, stick, stay, and stand no matter what when it comes to God.
