British aid worker, David Haines, is now the third to be beheaded at the hands of ISIS. DavidHaines had left his own homeland to help others when he was captured in Syria last March. In response to these events, the Christian Post reports that British Prime Minister tweeted, “The murder of David Haines is an act of pure evil. My heart goes out to his family who have shown extraordinary courage and fortitude.” It’s important to remember that the persecution of Christians and Jews still remains and is happening across the Middle East and the world. Additionally, Texas Senator, Ted Cruz, walked off a stage when he was booed for his bold statements in support of Christians and the Jews. As the church, it is important for us to remain watchful and prayerful. We must have the same courage and backbone to stand for Israel and the truth.
