Mike traveled to Africa to dig a well and humbly serve in whatever capacity he could find. It was in this humble service that Mike was able to impact so many people’s lives. As Jeff recounts so many problems around the world, like terrorism and hate, he recalls the life that his brother lived as the solution. “The solution to fear is love. The solution to mistrust and anger is love.”It is this love found in Jesus Christ that is the mandate of the Great Commission. Jeff shares about his brother’s perspective if people were fearful of going. “My brother would be crazy right now if people were afraid of going and loving and going where God calls them to go. We must go. If we’re not able to make disciples, we’re not part of the solution.”
We cannot help but to be changed and transformed when we encounter the Love of God. We are compelled to live out our lives as a thank you in response to the One who loves us so deeply. Imagine living a life, not a long life, but a fulfilled life in the Kingdom, in response to where God is calling you now.
