LISTEN NOW! It is no surprise that 2015 was a horrific year for Christians around the world. Currently, many are “pressing” the Obama Administration to recognize this rising global threat as genocide. According to CBN’s John Jessup, “Before the Iraq war in 2003, there was an estimated 2 Million Christians living in the Middle East, now that number hovers around 300,000.” He continues to share that “The Obama Administration has been hesitant to label what is happening to Christians in the Middle East and other religious and ethnic minorities as genocide.” A recent resolution adopted recognizes these increasing acts of persecution, those who commit this are committing “war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide.” It is good that our elected officials are holding our leadership accountable and continuing to press the issue of persecution.
