“America is not listening to the Prophets” Michael Snyder- Is Economic Collapse Really Coming?
When Michael Snyder, was recently invited to the Jim Bakker Show, he shared a timely word for today’s hour. “America today doesn’t want to hear the prophets”. Just as in the history of Israel, when many refused to listen to the voices that God raised up and established; the same is true in America today. According to Michael Snyder, what he is writing about on his website, theeconomiccollapseblog.com, lines up with what the Godly voices of today are saying. Initially, growing up, Synder shares how he didn’t believe in the things that were talked about in the Bible. Yet, in his own words, he shares, “But, as I started to get older, I started to look into the Bible, I was like, well, what I’m seeing in my Church, the mainstream denominational Christianity, doesn’t match up with what I see in the Word of God”. Snyder continues, “As an attorney, I study these things, I do it in a systematic way. And, so not only economic collapse is coming, but a whole bunch of other things are coming.”
It is vital to understand that “God is love” as 1 John 4:8 reminds us. As a culture, we have gotten so far removed from the truths of what love is, that discipline and correction are no longer seen as love. God has good plans in store for us, but we cannot continue on the path that we are heading and think that there are not definitive consequences for our decisions. The dire collapse that many are seeing is only definite if we do not repent.
When World War I began, it was because of the sparking event involving a man named, Archduke Franz Ferdinand. There are so many Ferdinand moments that have the potential of being “sparked”. If one were to look at the voices of mainstream media, it is common place to hear ‘everything is fine, everything is fine…’. When considering these words, Lamentations 2:14 is applicable and urgently timely, “The visions of your prophets were false and worthless; they did not expose your sin to ward off your captivity. The prophecies they gave you were false and misleading.” We must have a clear picture of our personal situations. We must desire truth. There is no better way than to be in constant communication and relationship with Jesus Christ. Be encouraged and empowered in these times to not only see the truth of what is happening, but to know why, and so much more. Billy Graham says Church should Brace for Persecution?
In the recent edition of Decision Magazine, Billy Graham warns the American Church that “persecution is coming.” CBN’s George Thomas and Gary Lane discuss the reality of persecution that the Global Church is experiencing and the unusual levels of low persecution in America. Thomas asks Lane the clear question, “Is it unusual that the U.S. Church has not faced persecution…do you see signs that it could be coming?” “Well certainly”, Lane responds, “I think so. I think that we’re seeing that already.” It was only moments ago when a shooter walked into a school and murdered ten people because of their declaration of being a Christian.
In order for us to face persecution boldly, we must know in whom we believe, Jesus Christ, and we must be in relationship with other believers who are walking in the same boldness for Christ. Now is the time, we must learn what it means to, “be the Church.” Be empowered and greatly encouraged as you are prepared for the days that we are facing today, and so much more.
