LISTEN NOW! The elections are finally over and the American people have chosen their next leader, President Elect Donald Trump. When the final tally came in signifying Donald Trump’s victory many words were said. Not only did Trump obviously share, but also President Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Speaker of the House Paul Ryan.
The words shared by President Elect Donald Trump were very uplifting and encouraging to say the least. Amidst the realities of a divisive nation, President Elect Trump shared these hopeful words, “Now it’s time for America to bind the wounds of division…I say it is time for us to come together as one united people…” When one would look at a Presidential race and the ensuing campaign, President Elect Trump highlighted how it was much more than a campaign. “As I’ve said from the beginning, ours was not a campaign, but rather an incredible and great movement made up of millions of hard working men and women who love their country and want a better, brighter future for themselves and their families.” When others may have been overcome in the recent eight years, or perceived to be overlooked, now it is time for that to end. “The forgotten men and women of our country will be forgotten no longer.”
On the heels of an arduous Presidential Race running against Trump, Hillary Clinton also shared words about his victory as well. As she began her opening words, she expressed, “Last night I congratulated Donald Trump and offered to work with him on behalf of our country. I hope that he will be a successful President for all Americans.” Contrary to the many differences that there may be between them, she also shared, “Donald Trump is going to be our President. We owe him an open mind and the chance to lead. Our Constitutional Democracy enshrines the peaceful transfer of power; and we don’t just respect that, we cherish it.”
This is a monumental moment in time as Donald Trump has been chosen to be our next President in America. It had been previously revealed to Greg Lancaster that Donald Trump would be elected President but, as he shares, he waited until after the elections to make this known. One of the specific things that God had revealed to Greg Lancaster was that “the seat of the righteous will rise and the seat of evil will come down”. This is not insinuating that any man or woman is righteous over another, but that the Lord has leadership that He desires to establish. This was the case when the City of Pensacola, Florida, elected its first African American Chief of Police, David Alexander. It appears to be that we are moving in a new direction.
President Obama also had words to share in light of President Elect Donald Trump’s victory. With Vice President Joe Biden at his side, The President stood in the Rose Garden to express his congratulatory words, “I had a chance to talk to President Elect Trump last night…to congratulate him on winning the election and I had a chance to invite him to come to the White House, tomorrow, to talk about making sure that there is a successful transition between our Presidencies.” He also highlights, “…we are now all rooting for his success in uniting, and leading the country. The peaceful transition of power is one of the hallmarks of our Democracy, and in the next few months we are going to show that to the world.” President Obama also shared about the importance of coming together as a nation. “We’re not democrats first, we’re not republicans first. We are Americans first. We’re patriots first.” It is so encouraging to see present leadership not only acknowledging President Elect Trump, but also affirming the willingness to support his leadership and work together in every way possible.
Additionally, Speaker of the House, Paul Ryan, also had congratulatory words to share on President Elect Trump’s victory. “This is the most incredible political feat I have seen in my lifetime.” He also shared how he is looking forward to making this transition a success, “How do we make sure, that when his hand comes off the Bible, when he is sworn in as President, we are hitting the ground running; and we are, we are very excited about working with him to make sure that that’s the case.”
These statements are not only encouraging and inspiring, but also affirming to the prophetic dream given to Greg Lancaster when President Obama walked him to the White House. Once inside, Donald Trump and his transition team was there. When Greg Lancaster extended his hand to Donald Trump, Trump grasped his hand and wouldn’t let go. It is important that we continue to pray for our current President, President Obama, as well as the President Elect Trump, and this important season of transition as there is much responsibilityabout to be given to President Elect Trump. Be encouraged as you see and hear these words, and so much more. Also, shared in this segment: unity, healing, speeches, White House, Oval Office, and prayer. Greg and Steve shared in this segment.
