The “boycott campaigns” are the realities of the “Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions Movement” (BDS). Alan Dershowitz further explains the sinister plots of this movement to undermine the peace and existence of the State of Israel. “Created by Palestinian academics, it calls on individuals, on companies, colleges, churches, cities, even countries, to starve Israel and isolate it socially.” As the many arguments are going back and forth regarding the issue of a “Two-State Settlement”, Dershowitz points out these important facts. “The leaders of the BDS Movement have no interest in a two-state solution. They reject the concept of Israel as the nation state of the Jewish people…by aligning yourself with the BDS Movement, you are aligning yourself with people who don’t want to see both sides thrive. They want to want to see one side, Israel, destroyed.”
As America, has elected a new Ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley, she has expressed clear and concise words to the United Nations about its recent actions towards Israel. “I’m here to say, the United States will not turn a blind eye to this anymore. I’m here to underscore the ironclad support of the United States for Israel. Virginia Governor says no to Home School Athletes in Public Schools, “The Tebow Rule”
As many watched the journey of Tim Tebow from his collegiate career with the Florida Gators, to his arrival to the NFL with the Denver Broncos, as well as his commentating career, some may not be aware of his beginnings before making it to the University of Florida. In his high school years, Tebow was home schooled. Because of the local laws, he could participate in the local public school’s athletics. But, for current home school athletes in Virginia, it appears that prospective athletes must wait for another year to possibly participate in public school athletics.
According to CBN News, “Gov. Terry McAuliffe, D-Va. has vetoed the so-called “Tebow bill,” which would overturn a state ban on home-school students participating in high school sports and other interscholastic activities.” Governor McAuliffe continues further expresses that passing the bill “would disrupt the level playing field Virginia’s public schools have developed over the past century”.
