The Evilness of the Iran Nuclear Agreement; like Neville Chamberlain in 1938?
There are many different voices sounding regarding the Nuclear Agreement Negotiations with Iran. As Prager University recently released a video regarding a simple understanding of what is taking place, it is just that, a simple understanding that this nuclear agreement is simply evil. “We say that evil is dark, but this metaphor is imprecise. Evil is intensely bright. So painfully bright, that people look away from it. Many even deny its existence.” This is very true to what is taking place. The events that are unfolding across the world, is so clear to see, but many refuse to acknowledge them for the evil that it is.
In the 1940’s, there was an open evil that was leading a nation: Adolf Hitler. Many refused to believe the evil that was on the horizon. In the coming moments, Europe would experience World War II and the killing of 55 million people. Before World War II began, British Prime Minister, Neville Chamberlain met with Adolf Hitler and signed the Munich Agreement. This was done in the hopes for peace. Looking back, we can see clearly, peace was not the result.
Prager University shares the staggering comparisons of the Munich Agreement and Nazi Germany and the Nuclear Agreement with Iran:
“The Nazi Regime was a police state. The Islamic Republic of Iran is a police state. The Nazis greatest aim was to exterminate the Jews of Europe. Iran’s greatest aim is to exterminate the Jewish State. The West dismissed Hitler as the Jew’s problem. The West dismisses Iran as Israel’s problem. Nazi Germany hated the West and its freedoms. The Islamic Republic of Iran hates the West and its freedoms. Germany sought to dominate Europe. Iran seeks to dominate the Middle East and the Muslim world. And, just as Britain and France appeased Nazi Germany, the same two countries along with the United States have chosen to appease Iran.”
What we are currently witnessing in our present day not only mirrors the events of 1938, with the possibility of war, it is unfolding to be much worse. Iran is openly an enemy of Israel, as well as an enemy of America. Watch the full video to see the clarity of urgency of what is taking place, and so much more. Greg and Steve shared in this segment.
Americanism and Communism: What is the difference?
It is said that a people that does not know their history, is bound to repeat it. In 1948, Harding College released an insightful video about the importance of freedom and those “ISMS” that would seek to come to destroy those very freedoms. What are these “ISMS”? Socialism and Communism. In generations past, America taught our students these subjects and the difference between them and Americanism. There is a huge difference between Communism, Socialism, and Americanism.
As Harding College shows in their video, there are growing divisions and tensions between businesses, labor, elected officials, and farmers. There would appear to be no answer, other than when one single smooth-talking man offers a “fix-all” product: “ISMS”. Upon the initial glance, it appeared to provide the answers that everyone was looking for, “…higher wages…enormous profits…government control…and bigger crops…”. What was the cost? Freedom. The response was a warning that still applies today; “When anybody preaches disunity and tries to pit one of us against the other, through class warfare, race hatred, or religious intolerance, you know that person seeks to rob us of our freedom and destroy our very lives.”
Communism was the guise that Pol Pot used in order to carry out the killing fields that resulted in millions of lives lost in Cambodia. Understanding the very beginnings of the United States allows us to see these truths and helps us to see the evils of Socialism and Communism for what they are. Watch this simple video and be encouraged as you are reminded of the very freedoms that we have in America, and so much more. Greg and Steve shared in this segment.
The 800 year Anniversary of the Magna Carta: How this Iconic Document inspired the American Constitution?
This year, 2015, marks a significant event: the 800 year anniversary of the Magna Carta. Most are unaware of this profound slice of history. CBN has brought to light the remembrance of what took place 800 years ago. In the year 1215, London experienced harsh rule and dictatorship under King John. He was an unmerciful and greedy man. King John tripled the taxes and repeatedly abused the rights of individuals. When the people could take no more, they arose and forced the King to make some changes. The resulting peace agreement is what is now known as the Magna Carta.
The Chairman of the Magna Carta Committee, Sir Robert Worcester, emphasized the importance of the Magna Carta by stating, “8 of the 10 in the Bill of Rights, the first 10 Amendments of the Constitution to the United States are straight from Magna Carta.” Because of the realities of the Magna Carta, it caused “the elimination of the right of divine rule of a king”. King John could no longer rule and oppress his people as previously done. If we do not know our history, we are bound to repeat it.
There was a group of people that stood up in their time in the face of evil leadership, and stood up for what was right. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. is a great example of how we ourselves can walk out similar lives. Dr. King said, “I’m holding you to what is written on the paper.” He was referring to the Constitution. As The Church, we must walk within the limitations of both The Constitution and The Word of God. Be greatly encouraged as you hear the profound implications of how the Magna Carta brought freedom to a people, how they stood up for truth, and how we must respond similarly, and so much more.
