LISTEN NOW! Greg, John, and Pat discuss the power of God and how it separates the mere talkers from the walkers, those walking as Jesus did. Jesus said “believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the miracles themselves” John 14:10. They continue to encourage us to mediate on God’s word, abide, and ask God to show us evidence. Jesus was sent by the Father into the world and Jesus sends us his disciples into the world to preach the good news. “He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.” Mark 16:15-20. There is power in the gospel. If you are a believer preach the gospel and signs will accompany those who believe. Everyone Jesus raised from the dead eventually died, it’s not about a person living forever it’s about the demonstration of the power of God. Jesus lives in every believer; it’s Christ in you, the hope of glory, Colossians1:27. As Christians we are “glory” containers. We contain the glory of God in us but the glory of God and his kingdom advances when we allow God to release the glory and we preach the kingdom of God with others. Jesus’ ministry was full of power; healing the sick, casting out demons, and performing miracles. Jesus said to his disciples in John 14:12 “I tell you the truth; anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.” We have this treasure in jars of clay and it’s only when we are weak that the Lord manifest his power through us. The Holy Spirit will guide you and lead you. The power of God separates mere talkers from walkers.
