Take the Roof off Your Thinking?  Believe God for the Impossible

LISTEN NOW! John, Pat and Chris discuss the importance of taking the roof off of your thinking so that you can believe God for the impossible.  They continue to discuss how the devil is blamed for so many things but in reality one of the greatest reasons men don’t do great things for God is because of their small thinking.  Many are walking today with a jar lid over their minds or another way to look at it is they are living under a small pitch roof that does not allow them to think beyond a certain level.  The Bible tells us in Proverbs 23:7 “For as a man thinks in his heart so is he…”  They encourage us to remember that Jesus did not die on the cross so that we can have comfortable cozy lives but rather so we can give Him our lives.  He saved us from sin, death, and hell at the same time He saved us unto Himself.  They challenge us to take the roof off our thinking and live under an open heaven where we can believe God to use us to do great things for Him.

Best Advice Given to T.D. Jakes

John, Pat and Chris comment on what TD Jakes says is the best advice he has ever been given, “you win if you don’t give up.”  You will face many challenges in your life and the enemy will always try to get you to stop but if you stop you will lose.  God has called you to be an overcomer in Him.  Don’t quit, don’t give in and in the end you will win.

    Who is down for Pizza?

John, Pat, and Chris have fun talking about John’s favorite meal; pizza.  They continue to discuss the world record that was just set for the largest pizza.  The pizza pie is 46.64 square feet and weighs about 100pounds.  They enjoy themselves as they discuss all the many ways they enjoy pizza.

Fear of the LORD: Having the Right Attitude towards Sin

John shares from Joy Dawson’s book Intimate Friendship with God, Through Understanding the Fear of the Lord.    He discusses the different levels in our attitude toward sin that Joy writes about.  Our attitude toward sin determines whether we enjoy intimacy with God.  The first level is when a person does not sin because the consequences are too great.   They try to avoid sin because they don’t want to face the consequences of sinning against the Lord and man.  Level Two is when the person lives by the “Golden Rule.”  The Third level is when a sincere Christian who earnestly desires to please the Lord but finds himself wishing he could find answers as to why he is always having to confess the same sins over and over.  The fourth level is when a person who has the fear of the Lord upon them.  That person has a hatred for sin and so they seldom sin.  They continue to discuss the importance the fear of the Lord is and how it will help us to have a proper perspective when it comes to the attitude we embrace in regards to sin.  Avoiding sin for the right motives will help us to enjoy intimate friendship with God.
