Born a Muslim, she recounts her own personal experiences as she endured a national civil war in her country. The simple process of getting bread, or staying warm throughout the night, was a matter of life and death. It wasn’t until she was invited to a Christmas celebration by a friend that her life began to have some recurring instances with Christianity and Jesus Christ. For many of us, it is not one simple encounter with the Good News of Jesus Christ that opens our eyes, but multiple encounters.
