Pastors Ministering in Baltimore Insisting on Justice with No Violence

by

LISTEN NOW! The city of Baltimore is experiencing unrest as they are mourning and responding to the death of Freddie Gray. When injustices take place, regardless of where it happens or who it happens to, it matters how the church responds. During a press conference with the Baltimore mayor and other city leaders, Pastor Jamal Bryant shared enlightening words as he echoed the words of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., “riots are the voice of the unheard.”

As Pastor Bryant brought an intimate perspective to take into consideration of a generation that feels unheard, he shares this important truth “the sound of justice always sounds louder than the sound of violence.” It is only natural for any one person to be affected when tragedies, as what has taken place to Freddie Gray, and the Gray family; but, how we respond, is what sets one apart. “…we want justice and not revenge. Revenge never takes the place of justice.”  As the Body of Christ, we can learn a lot from how the pastors in Baltimore are demonstrating how we to stand in response instead of watching what’s going on. See the full statement from Pastor Bryant, and so much more. Greg and John also shared in this hour. Greg and John shared in this segment.
