Is there a War on Police? Watch Miami Dade Police Officer’s Raw Emotion about Why She is a Police Officer
With the increasing amount of tensions rising against our Police Officers, and now more and more murders of our officers, one has to ask, is there a war against our police? According to a recent Rasmussen National Survey, the answer would be an unequivocal yes. According to this survey, 58% of those surveyed said yes. Additionally, one anonymous caller called into the Aurora Police Department in Colorado stating, “We are about to start striking fear, shooting down all cops that we see by their selves.” This cannot happen. Can you imagine our cities without our officers; without our deputies; those that patrol the streets to keep them safe?
As many are wanting to speak out regarding what is taking place, one woman, Lydia Marquez, a 20 year veteran with the Miami-Dade Police Department, did just that by posting a short video on social media in response. When her 4 year old son asked why she was going to work, she thought much about this and the next day, it was this very video that resulted.
“…because mommy cares. I care. When you fill out any official document, for credit, a job. It asks you what you ethnicity is. It asks you what your gender is. It asks you if your Black, if your White, if your Hispanic, if your American Indian, if your Asian. It asks you all those personal questions. Yet when you call 911, the person who answers the phone doesn’t stop you to ask any of those questions. No. They ask you what your emergency is. How can we help you? And you tell them what the issue is. Because when you call 911, you need help…We don’t ask that dispatcher, Is this a Black person that’s calling? Is this a white person whose calling? That doesn’t matter because we don’t care. We don’t care at all. It’s not about color. It’s not about any of that. It’s about the fact that all lives matter.”
This is the very heart of one of those that lay their lives down each and every day fully aware that they say good bye to their loved one, the knowledge that they may not come home that night.
There is a narrative being promulgated across our nation that it is acceptable to rise up in rebellion against the authority, against our police officers and deputies. In response, it is being reported that citizens are responding in support of our officers by not only vocally telling them they are supportive, but also standing next to them while pumping gas so that nothing bad happens. Watch! David’s Tent 24 hours 3 Day Worship Encounter into the Heart of God
When someone takes a vacation in our present generation, the first idea is to take time off of work, travel to an exotic island, maybe the mountains, or just enjoy entertainment and the relaxation of a movie. Imagine taking 3 entire days off to seek the heart of God and worship with others in the presence of God. This is exactly what took place in “David’s Tent” when 72 hours of worship took place. Proverbs 27:7 says, “One who is full loathes honey from the comb, but to the hungry even what is bitter tastes sweet.” Many can attest to having ‘full’ lives. The question is, what is it that we are full of? When one of the participants in the event was asked about it, she stated, “When we worship, just something changes in us; and we sometimes don’t even know what it is, but always, something happens.” If we don’t have any time for God, we have to remove the things that are distracting us from the lover of our souls.
Now is the time to call a sacred assembly and call each of ourselves out of the distractions of the entertainment that is all around us, the comfort and convenience of the world, and just be with God. You can take time apart, with your friends, with your family, right now. Change the way you view vacation from this day forward. Watch the video of more of the events, and so much more. Suffering in Cuba Has Produced Massive Church Growth with no signs of Slowing Down
No matter what takes place in the world, it’s important to remind ourselves that God is still in control. Amidst an impoverished economy, “average monthly government salary is $20, and professionals typically make less than $50”, the Church in Cuba is experience explosive growth that many are describing as to what took place in the Book of Acts. As believers were told they were not allowed to build any more buildings, they were forced to meet in their homes. One man shares how 80-100 people are meeting in his apartment. Pastor “Rosa” continues by stating, “People here don’t care how comfortable they are. They could be exhausted from working all day and they will sit on a bag of rocks, a stitched up chair, or stand the whole service. They are OK with that.”
While there is suffering and difficulty being experienced because of the lack of average resources in the nation, the characteristics of the Church in Cuba sets itself apart from these realities. “Cuban churches are known for their generosity and willingness to sacrifice for the sake of the Gospel.” When people realized that they could no longer look to government for help, they looked to the Church. This is a realization and truth that each of us must respond to. When hardship and difficulty do happen, do we have the answer for them? Do we know Jesus Christ? Can we guide others to hear and know the voice of Jesus Christ instead of taking them to someone else? God is doing miraculous and exciting things in our day. You can take this moment and be greatly encouraged to not only watch what is happening, but to walk out these same truths in your own life.
