WOMEN SOLD FOR $1.00 AS SEX SLAVE; ISIS Brutal Assault Against Iraqi Yazidis’; Yazidi Women

Nations watched as Iraqis were forced to flee for their lives and Islamic radicals swept through causing many to seek safety and refuge. ISIS continues to rape women, sell women into sex slavery and murder those who stand in their way. One of the people group who were greatly affected in these tragedies were the Yazidi people.

One Yazidi woman who personally experienced these brutalities shares about what took place. “They were forcing girls to convert to Islam and then marry ISIS members. They beat our legs, heads, and arms, demanding all of us to serve them or be used as sex slaves.” She continues, “They were really determined to harm us. They abused us and took pleasure in it. Most of us wanted to die.”As a result, numbers of these women resorted to suicide as a way to end the abuse.

In today’s culture, so many people live an isolated life. With the many comforts and conveniences at our disposal, it is easy to be disconnected from what is happening all throughout the world. We must break the isolationist mindset that is holding so many captive. Maybe God is calling you, as a missionary, to go and share the Good News of the Gospel in a nation, other than your own. Hear more about what is taking place within the Yazidi people, how you can respond in your generation, and so much more. Is Oil Industry Sinking Like a Ship? Fulfillment of a Prophecy?

It’s no surprise, gas is continuing to drop. It is dropping to the prices that are friendlier and friendlier to our wallets and pocket books. Looking on the surface alone, it is a great thing that gas is dropping below $2.00 a gallon.

According to CBS News, “Last year, falling pump prices put an extra $115 Billion in American’s pockets. The price of oil is dipped below $30 a barrel. One big boost to the economy.” But, what about those within the oil industry? How do these slipping prices affect those who make a living from retrieving the oil from the ground below?

When CBS’s Martha Teichner met with Mike Rasco, what she encountered was all but encouraging. Rasco is an oilfield consultant who oversees operations in the industry. He takes her to a drilling contractor’s yard. During the boom, this yard would be empty. In today’s reality, each day has the possibility of adding another drilling tower and all its required equipment to the lot. Why? Because it is no longer needed. According to Rasco, “This ‘parking lot’ for drilling rigs symbolizes the American oil and gas industry going broke. In just the last year, more than 900 rigs were idle. The US total, down 60%.”

In a brief dialogue about the yard, she asks an even deeper question, “So each one of these rigs represents how many unemployed people?” His response says it all. “I’d say at a thousand, at least.” Instead of drilling rigs across the Texas horizons, lots of heavy machinery and pick-up trucks are peppered throughout the area, signaling to those driving that an increasing inventory is available for the next auction. “Worldwide, the oil and gas industry has cut more than 275,000 jobs since oil prices peaked at over $100 a barrel in mid-2014.”

What is adding to this already, arduous scenario, is the ‘wide-open’ oil production from nations like Saudi Arabia and Russia. With the implementation of fracking, America is now on the list of oil exporters as well. “U.S. oil production went from 5 million barrels a day in 2008 to 9.7 million barrels a day in April of 2015.” The present day situation tells a differing story.  “A gallon of water is worth more than a gallon of crude oil right now.” This reality is causing families who make their living in the oil and gas industry to lose their homes.

We should never celebrate when our brother loses his oxygen because we get our oxygen at a lower rate. God has revealed that “The whole industry was going down.”Hear the full story about what is taking place throughout the oil industry in the world, and so much more. Are You TIRED OF STRUGGLING In Life? You’ve Got to Finish the Job! says Steven Furtick, of Elevate Church

Sometimes we come across this great idea to implement and carry out. But, somewhere during the process, we hit a snag and the whole operation stops. At some point, we realize that we’ve got to finish the job! Steven Furtick, with Elevate Church shares a powerful perspective that we must understand, not only in these moments, but in our fight against the Devil’s schemes. “We’ve got to finish the job!”

“He (Jesus) didn’t just defeat sin, He destroyed it. Jesus didn’t just die to deliver us from death, He died so that we might reign in life!” If we’re enduring a fight in our life, we have to remember that God is on our side and He fights our enemies. Furtick recounts the reality of David’s battle against Goliath and how the outcome contradicted the onset. “Let’s don’t just survive the struggle. We’ve got the enemy on the run, now let’s take his sword… and finish the job…David went into the battle without a sword, but he left the battle with one, cause he took what was coming against him and God used it to deliver him!”

When we look at what Paul wrote about this in Romans 8:5-6,” Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.”

This is a powerful truth that we all must embrace knowing that we will fight against the attacks of darkness. Be greatly encouraged in your walk with the Lord as you fight, boldly against the schemes of the Devil, and so much more.
