Dr. OZ Teams Up with Ministers on the Dr. OZ Show to Address Faith and Miracles in Our Lives

Dr. Oz is well known for his daily show, “The Dr. Oz Show” that discusses varying topics regarding health and nutrition. As CBN reports, his most recent programs are sure to bring additional attention as Dr. Oz has hosted a panel of ministers to discuss topics such as the importance of faith and miracles. As one who has extensive experience in the medical field, he has had more than one encounter with a patient that defies medical reasoning, or explanation.

CBN’s Efrem Graham sat down with Dr. Oz, and preacher DeVon Franklin, to discuss these ‘faith focused’ programs. Franklin points out, “This is uncommon! And, I can’t say that enough, for [Dr. Oz] to be so generous to allow this conversation to happen, for me to be here, for me to help participate, and it came organically…” Dr. Oz asks deeply thought provoking questions like, “Why do we even need saints and miracles? How does that even play a role?”

These programs will be for the month of February as Franklin and Dr. Oz are inviting the audience to take part in the “Blessed 30 Challenge”. Franklin’s desire is for people to see how truly blessed they are and how miracles do in fact happen in each of our lives. When we begin to see life from THIS perspective, we begin to see life in an entirely new light.

It is so beautiful to see this conversation happening, and Dr. Oz openly discussing the reality of how each of us not only has a body, that we must take care of, but also a soul. Be sure to tune in to the full interview as well as being a part of the “Blessed 30 Challenge” and so much more. Also shared in this segment: miracles, health, temple, and medical show. Greg and Steve shared in this segment.

Producer of “Survivor” and “The Apprentice”, Mark Burnett, Introduces President Trump at the 65th National Prayer Breakfast

Mark Burnett is best known for his role of producer for shows as “Survivor”, “The Apprentice” as well as “The Bible” miniseries. What some may not be aware of is the sequence of events that led a young Burnett, in the 1980’s from Venice Beach, to the close relationship with Donald Trump on the set of “The Apprentice”. It is this very sequence of events that Burnett highlights and describes as he introduces the President at the 65th National Prayer Breakfast.

Burnett shares how a book truly kick-started this life altering journey. “I came across a book, The Art of The Deal. That book really, really inspired me; really got me going. It got me thinking, ‘America is the kind of place you can get a start, and start a business’”. Creating the well-known reality show, “Survivor” led him to a stage in the middle of New York City. He points out a recurring thought that he had during this journey, “I wonder if I’m ever, ever going to be in the presence, or even set my eyes on the guy that wrote this book.” As he describes, he found himself producing the finale of “Survivor” on a set within Central Park with the Manhattan skyline as the background. It was in the skating rink that was built by Mr. Donald Trump himself. But, much to his surprise, when standing on stage, he noticed that Mr. Trump was sitting in the front row. Burnett details what then took place; “Afterwards, he came and found me; shook my hand, gave me his private office number, and said, ‘You know what, I like you. Call me, let’s do something one day.’”

It was only a handful of months later when he found himself not only on the phone with Mr. Trump, but standing in his actual office, talking about the conceptual idea that would eventually be the breakthrough show, “The Apprentice”. You will be blown away by the obstacles that Burnett immediately encountered after leaving Trump’s office and again, at Mr. Trump’s immediate response. It is this long time relationship that Burnett looks back upon as he graciously introduces President Trump at the 65th National Prayer Breakfast. Hear the full story of Burnett’s journey to the well-recognized man that he is now, the mindsets that are so quickly being broken, and so much more. Also shared in this segment: business, CBS, franchises, and New York City. Greg and Steve shared in this segment.

President Trump Speaks at the 65th National Prayer Breakfast

President Trump has continued to be a part of the long time tradition of being a part of the National Prayer Breakfast, a this year was the 65th annual event. He spoke many encouraging words to the American people, as well as how hopeful he was to “be here 7 more times.”

Of the many things he has experienced along his campaign trail, the most encouraging, has been the American people. “Your prayers and faith have sustained me, and inspired me through some very tough times. All around America, I have met some amazing people, whose words of worship and encouragement have been a constant source of strength. What I hear most often as I travel the country, are five words that never, ever fail to touch my heart; that’s ‘‘I – AM – PRAYING – FOR – YOU’.’’

As President Trump acknowledged the many Americans that have encouraged him, he also acknowledged those that have been the greatest of inspirations to him, the families of the US Military. “I just came back yesterday from Dover AFB, to join the family of Chief William Ryan Owens, as America’s fallen hero, was returned home. Very, very sad; but, very, very beautiful. Very, very beautiful.” He highlights how we, as a nation must respond. “He gave his life for defense of our people. Out debt to him and our debt to his family is eternal, and everlasting. Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. We will never forget the men and women who wear the uniform.”

As the President talks about the priority to take care of our military, he expresses how they understand what truly matters in America; “…not party, not ideology, or creed, but the bonds of loyalty that link us all together as one.” The President continues to point out where true success lies; “All across our land, it’s plain to see that we easily forget, we so easily forget is that the quality of our lives is not defined by material success, but by our spiritual success.”

President Trump expressed how he was sworn into the Office of President on the same Bible that his mother taught him, and his siblings, as children. It is from this Biblical upbringing that he highlights this vital point; “We are not just flesh, and bone, and blood, we are human beings with souls. Our republic was formed on the basis that freedom was not a gift from government, but that freedom is a gift from God.”

“As long as we have God, we are never, ever alone. Whether it’s the soldier on the night watch, or the single parent on the night shift, God will always give us solace and strength, and comfort we need to carry on, and to keep carrying on.” The President continues to share where Washington must seek their wisdom. “For us here in Washington, we must never, ever stop asking God for the wisdom, to serve the public, according to His will.”
It is so beautiful to see President Trump moving in such humility and acknowledging God in so many ways. Continue to pray for President Trump and the entire Cabinet staff that he has nominated and appointed as they walk out each of their positions.
