LISTEN NOW! (Or Watch Full Program!) With smiling faces filling the room, Vice President Mike Pence swears in the 15th administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Seema Verma, with the Oath for her position. As the Vice President highlights the importance of healthcare in America, he brings attention to the failing plan of Obamacare and the high priority to replace it. “At each step of this process, one of President Trump’s most important objectives, though, has been to give the freedom and flexibility to states across the country to design healthcare programs, especially Medicaid, to the unique needs of their most vulnerable citizens.” As the Vice President continues to explain, this is where Seema Verma will fulfill her very important and valuable role. Verma received her Masters Degree from John Hopkins University in Public Health, continued to work in the health industry in Indiana, and eventually started her own healthcare company in 2001. She was part of the team that created the healthcare plan that was implemented in Indiana.
See the exciting moment as Verma is joined by her family during this momentous occasion, her responding remarks, and so much more. Also shared in this segment: Hoosier, Marion County, and the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials. Greg and Steve shared in this segment.
