As this new administration has taken over the leadership of The White House, those days are now over. Christianity is not only being acknowledged, but it is also being celebrated. Jesus Christ is central to Christianity, and it is His death, burial, and resurrection that sets Him apart from any other that claims to be God. HE IS ALIVE! Easter is the celebration of Jesus’ resurrection from the tomb on the third day. Some may not be aware of this and two little girls do an outstanding job of describing this in their own cute story.
President Donald Trump, First Lady Melania Trump, and Barron Trump were together on the White House Balcony as they acknowledged the celebration of the 139th Easter Egg Roll. This is so encouraging to witness as Christianity was seemingly being mocked over the last eight years. We have witnessed a complete 180 degrees turn from the days of yesterday, to where we are now.
Multiple members of the Trump Administration took time to sit with children and read from the pages of Easter books as attentive children sat gathered around listening to the stories. First Lady Melania Trump read Party Animals. Attorney General Jeff Sessions sat alongside his wife Mary and their four grandchildren and wife. Secretary of HUD Dr. Ben Carson was joined by his wife Candy, while his granddaughter Tesora sat on his lap listening to his story. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos was joined by her grandson Tag and a crowd of attentive young children.
It is so important to acknowledge the Lord and encouraging to see The White House and multiple members of the Trump Cabinet taking time to spend with their families to celebrate Easter.
