The culture that we live in is so important. As the church, God has positioned us within our specific cultures to have an impact for Him and the Kingdom. When we do not understand this, we fall prey to the perspective of simply criticizing and being judgmental. Any one culture is made of 7 different areas; you could also call them mountains: Religion, Family, Education, Government, Media, Arts & Entertainment, and Business. Without this knowledge, the church has had the tendency to focus on the “Religion Mountain” while neglecting the other six. What happens on and within each of these matters to God. God has placed the church intricately and strategically within each of us.
