Smith Wigglesworth was used by God to do amazing things. Lester Sumrall visited him at his home. Sumrall had a newspaper and Wigglesworth said he couldn’t bring the paper in the house. So, he left it outside. And what they did in their time together was eat dinner and Wigglesworth read the Bible. God was enough for him, he didn’t need or want anything else. It is said that people would sit by Wigglesworth, like at the train station, and they would be convicted of their sins. The only thing that keeps us from that communion with God is our choices. We can’t let just anyone speak into our lives. Jesus said, “ Jesus turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns.” If Jesus can be tempted by a conversation then we can be tempted and sin because of the people that we listen to whether in person or the media.
