Standing between the Living and the Dead

A huge disaster happened back in Moses’ day. The ground opened and swallowed Cora and his followers. It could have been much worse, but Moses stood in the gap between man and God. How can you stand between the living and the dead? When you are not saved, you are dead in your sins, but once you make Jesus the Lord of your life, then you become alive in the Lord.  Because of Jesus’ death, He stood in the gap between God and us so that we can be saved. Do you have a relationship with Jesus Christ? If not, at VFNKB we share our stories at Meet My Father, and you can read that we are all sinners saved by grace. We want to hear from you! Also shared in this segment: Israel, Plague, Grace, Money, Friend, Lottery, Intercession, Crisis. Greg, Pat, and John shared in this segment.

You Are So Much More than Your Gift

We can look at people and admire their labors and works. An example is Michelangelo. Obviously God gave him a great artistic talent, and people still admire his work today. Musicians can turn music into art, and another example is dancing, you can be overtaken and moved to tears by a dance. Architecture is also a form of art, and sometimes it can take years to admire the work that was done by an architect. At the end of the day despite how amazing a person’s form of art or gifts may be the only thing that will count is what one did for God. Our talents are all just vanity, Ecclesiastes 1:2-3 “Meaningless! Meaningless!” says the Teacher. “Utterly meaningless! Everything is meaningless.” What do people gain from all their labors at which they toil under the sun?” Are you using your gift for God’s glory? What counts on this earth is what you do for God when you use your gift, you want people to turn to God, not to you. It is okay to admire someone’s gift but remember only to worship God. Also, don’t forget the person who has that gift may be overwhelmed and they are taking all the glory, we can stop them and ask where they are at in their relationship with God. We want to ask you, are you okay? Maybe your marriage or family is falling apart? Where are you at with your relationship with God? If you are in a bad place, you can turn back to God and submit your gift under God’s authority and give all glory to God. We want to hear from you and how you are using your gift for the glory of God. Also shared in this segment: Van Gogh, Depression, Solomon, Temple, Repentance, T.D. Jakes, Mona Lisa.
