Leonard Ravenhill; In Light of Eternity, Modern Day Prophet

Leonard Ravenhill was a great man of God, and his life is written about in the book In Light of Eternity, The Life of Leonard Ravenhill. It has been said that he wasn’t so popular because he did not promote himself anywhere. He was a man of deep prayer, was serious about God, the Church and the Church’s destiny. An excerpt about him written in a newspaper, gives a brief account of his early days: “…a band of young men full of faith and the Holy Ghost, to preach Christ to the multitudes unreached and unsought by the Churches. They will receive no salary. They will go as they are led, and they will live by faith. No collections will be taken, no subscriptions solicited, no favors begged. But they will tramp from place to place –preaching- testifying and singing in streets; marketplace; village green and pleasure-beach; depending upon God for everything and sleeping wherever a shelter can be found.” This was Leonard’s vision to train up young people and launch them to infiltrate society and win people to the Lord. At VFNKB with our internship program we are doing the same!

Leonard has left a great legacy. Make sure to watch or listen to the full segment to hear more and you must read this book! We want to hear from you! You can write to us at [email protected]. Greg, Pat, and John shared in this segment.

Living as a Global Christian

Francis Chan is a great example of how to live as a global Christian! He has made it his goal to reach those who have never heard of Jesus. As a Global Christian, our focus should be to look at what is going on in the Church family around the world and focusing on those that have never heard of Jesus and are in need. We don’t want to miss what God is doing in the world. As American Christians, it seems we have become very self-focused because we are very blessed. Jesus says, “It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.” We must be very careful not to make the blessings that we have our god. There are many ways to do this; we can pray and support a ministry that provides to those in need! At VFNKB we do reach the world in many ways. We send out VFNKB Love Boxes to the Philippines which meet the needs of the poor. At VFNKB we all minister the true Gospel to the nations every day on many different platforms! Also, God can call you to physically go to minister to the lost. You can find out more on The VFN Torch and learn from a biblical perspective regarding how to be a global Christian. You can also partner with VFNKB today to help us to continue to reach the ends of the earth with the light of Jesus! We want to hear from you! You can email us at [email protected]. #WisdomMoments How to Have a Peaceful Life

Have you thought about listening to God? It is easy to get advice from other people and even many get advice and wisdom from the internet. It is important that we look to God first and listen to what He is saying.

This wisdom moment explains how to have a peaceful life. The Bible tells us how to live peacefully. “But whoever listens to Me will live in safety and be at ease, without fear of harm” Proverbs 1:33 ESV. When you think about listening to the Lord it will put you in a place a safety, we can look at the definition of safety. Safety is defined as the state of being safe; freedom from the occurrence or risk of injury, danger, or loss. The quality of averting or not causing injury, danger, or loss. A contrivance or device to prevent injury or avert danger.

Next the word ease is defined as freedom from labor, pain, or physical annoyance; tranquil rest; comfort: freedom from concern, anxiety, or solicitude; a quiet state of mind: freedom from difficulty or great effort; facility.  This is what we can have when we abide, spend time with God, which is why we talk about it all the time! Many people are scared to follow God because they have a fear of not being safe and not having an easy life and being afraid of harm coming to them.
