#WisdomMoments: Fearing the Lord and Shunning Evil Brings Health to the Body

by

LISTEN or WATCH NOW!

In this wisdom moment, we share the wisdom of fearing the Lord and shunning evil.

“Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and -nourishment to your bones.” Proverbs 3:7-8

This sounds like the best healthcare plan that is available! Many people are wise in their own eyes. They will be constantly questioning the leaders in their lives thinking of a better way to do things versus just following the leadership that God has put in authority! This is pride and pride blinds us! It is important for us to choose humility so our eyes will be able to see, and God will lead us, and we will follow unquestioningly what God has said.

We are called to fear the Lord and even when we walk in the fear of the Lord there is much more to be had and we can ask God for more! Fearing the Lord is to be aware of Him always, to be aware of His commands and seeking to follow them with all our heart, soul, mind and strength all the while being aware of the kindness and sternness of God.

Next, we must shun evil! Shun is defined as to persistently avoid, ignore or reject evil. It is God’s expectation for us to shun evil which will be a constant daily act! When we follow what God has said it will bring health to our lives! We want to hear from you and how you apply this wisdom moment to your life! You can write to us at [email protected].
