In this wisdom moment, we discuss how through the truth of God’s Word we can get wisdom, knowledge, and understanding.
“My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding—indeed, if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God. For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.” Proverbs 2:1-6
We are finding out that if we want wisdom and knowledge for our everyday lives, we can follow this Proverbs! We must first accept God’s Word and secondly, we need to store up God’s Word in us, which would be soaking in His Word. Many do this by memorizing scripture. Next, we must turn our ear to God which would be having a relationship with Him. At this point, we would apply our heart to this understanding and call out for insight and understanding! We must open our mouths and ask God for this and God will answer.
Also, our eyes will have to get involved in this process, we look for understanding and search for it like treasure. We start recognizing what leads us closer to the Lord and what will draw us away. God responds to our hunger for Him and will fill us up as we seek Him. Will you seek Him? When you do, He will give you everything you need! We want to hear from you!
