“The one who guards a fig tree will eat its fruit, and whoever protects their master will be honored.” Proverbs 27:18
Guarding the fig tree would be comparable to guarding our job and doing things right so that we can eat of the fruit of our labor. Many people do the minimum they have to do at their job and just scrape by. But that is not what God calls us to! We are called to honor our employers and protect them. It is important to empathize with your boss and to realize that they have needs to. We can walk in their shoes and work hard which will bless them.
