Déjà vu is a phenomenon of feeling as though one has lived through the present situation before. In this case, we know that we’ve lived this before!
We are seeing, just like under the German Nazis led by Adolf Hitler, that the government is allowing and instigating racist views, actions, and protests against Jews in America. This week, anti-Jewish protests and demonstrations calling for the death of Jews in America and Israel, and for the elimination of Israel, have occurred throughout America, in cities, and also on college campuses. A Jewish professor who works at Columbia University, which is partially funded by your tax dollars, was barred from being able to enter the campus by Columbia’s leadership while anti-Jewish protests were allowed on campus. While a massive faculty walkout in solidarity for pro-Palestinian protestors at the Columbia University. Yale University, which your tax dollars support, allowed a Jewish student to be blocked from entering the university. While pro-Hamas (pro-violence) set up encampments outside of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and chanted from the “River to the Sea” meaning kill every Jew in Israel, push them into the sea, and take over their land. Students at the University of Pennsylvania are chanting, “There is only one solution.” They are referring to Hitlers “Final solution” which was the destruction of all Jews. Déjà vu: History is Repeating itself!
The Nazis imposed numerous restrictions on Jewish people in Germany from 1933 to 1945. Here are ten specific restrictions based on the provided context:
Professional Civil Service Restrictions: The Law for the Restoration of the Professional Civil Service of April 7, 1933, excluded Jews from civil service (Source: [0] Antisemitic Legislation 1933-1939).
- Legal Restrictions: The Executive Order on the Law on the Alteration of Family and Personal Names required Jewish men to adopt the middle name “Israel” and Jewish women “Sara” (Source: [0] Antisemitic Legislation 1933-1939).
- Property Confiscation: The Decree concerning the Surrender of Precious Metals and Stones in Jewish Ownership regulated the transfer of assets from Jews to non-Jews (Source: [0] Antisemitic Legislation 1933-1939).
- Restrictions on Legal Practice: The Law on the Admission to the Legal Profession forbade the admission of Jews to the bar (Source: [0] Antisemitic Legislation 1933-1939).
- Education Restrictions: Jewish children faced increasing discrimination in schools, leading to many being expelled or forced to attend separate schools (Source: [4] Nazi Germany 1933-1939: Early Stages of Persecution).
- Business Restrictions: The Nazis implemented a series of laws that restricted Jewish business ownership and operation (Source: [4] Nazi Germany 1933-1939: Early Stages of Persecution).
- Social Restrictions: The Nazis used propaganda to demonize Jews, creating a climate of hostility and indifference towards them, leading to social isolation and exclusion (Source: [7] Rise of the Nazis and Beginning of Persecution).
- Travel Restrictions: Jews were increasingly restricted in their ability to travel freely within Germany (Source: [4] Nazi Germany 1933-1939: Early Stages of Persecution).
- Property Restrictions: Jewish property was seized or sold at reduced prices, leading to a massive loss of wealth and property for Jewish families (Source: [4] Nazi Germany 1933-1939: Early Stages of Persecution).
- Forced Emigration: The Nazis implemented a policy of forced emigration, pushing Jews out of Germany and confiscating their property in the process (Source: [2] German Jews during the Holocaust, 1939–1945).
These restrictions illustrate the systematic and comprehensive nature of the Nazi regime’s persecution of Jewish people in Germany.
All this racism against the Jewish people, known as antisemitism, led to herding the Jewish people, God’s chosen people, like animals into locked-down communities, ghettos, then into a systematic attempt to eliminate, kill, each and every one of the Jews.
Jews Forcibly Pulled Out of Bunkers
Did you know that Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of President Donald J. Trump, had a grandmother who was one of the Jewish children in Germany during this time? While living in one of the Jewish ghettos, the Jews were forced to live in attempting to maintain a sense of humanity; they used their talents, such as being musicians, to play music in an orchestra they established. One day, while they were playing music in the orchestra, Nazi guards just started shooting randomly and killed many Jews. His grandmother, as a little girl, had to go help clean up all the Jewish spilled blood from those killed on the paved sidewalks, streets. By a miracle, she and a few others were able to escape through a drain pipe leading out of the encampment. Though those who first attempted this escape were shot and killed as they came out the drain pipe on the other side, somehow she was able to get out. Because of this miracle, Ivanka Trump has a husband, this lady’s grandson, and America was blessed when Jared helped negotiate the Abraham Accords Peace Accords in the Middle East for America and his father-in-law, President Trump.

The Righteous Among the Nations
“The Righteous Among the Nations” refers to non-Jewish individuals who risked their lives during the Holocaust to save Jews from Nazi persecution. This honorific is bestowed by Yad Vashem, Israel’s Holocaust memorial, to acknowledge and commemorate the actions of those who stood against the Nazi regime’s genocidal policies. The title originates from the concept of “ger toshav” in Jewish tradition, which describes non-Jews who adhere to basic ethical principles and live in harmony with Jewish communities. The Righteous Among the Nations are awarded for their altruistic actions, often at great personal risk, to shelter, provide for, and protect Jews during the Holocaust.
Corrie ten Boom, a Dutch Christian who, along with her family, were among the Righteous Among the Nations, as they hid Jews in their home and was later sent to a concentration camp. The prices of standing with the Jews, hiding them from those who sought to harm, killed and force to leave their country. The Jews were being hunted by God haters, Nazis, who sought their destruction and for anyone one to get in the way of their goal such as hiding Jews from the Nazi’s they too would be harm, put in concentration camps, and killed if they were caught. So, to be among the Righteous of the Nation, one was willing to put theirs and their family’s life at risk for a Jewish person, family, or community.
Self-Preservation or Denial of Oneself
The “Church” in Germany struggled with this as well, believe it or not. They wouldn’t allow Jewish converts from Judaism to Christianity, to followers of Christ, known as Messianic Jews, into their churches because it came with government punishment to accept them.
Dietrich Bonhoeffer, after wasting much of his time trying to convince the church to not partner with the government, with Adolf Hitler, the Nazi party, realized it was a useless attempt and found himself starting new churches called the Confession Church. Yet, in the end, these churches couldn’t face the fear and punishment of the government and Nazi sympathizer for accepting Messianic Jews into their fellowship, so they too rejected them. Dietrich eventually found himself in the countryside surrounded by many young people who he taught to abide with Jesus Christ. He discovered, if someone doesn’t abide with Jesus, they’ll not obey Jesus. It was approximately two weeks before Hitler, the leader of this evil oppressive anti-God, anti-Israel, anti-Jewish people killed himself did Dietrich find himself being hung by the neck for his stand for God, for true Christianity, and the Jewish people.
Self-preservation won out for most of the German people, even the church in Germany, over self-denial. You can’t help but presume that the word of God wasn’t taught to those in the church as the first thing Jesus requires of all His followers is to “Deny yourself, pick up your own cross, and follow Me.”

Don’t Go Over the Cliff with the Masses
Glenn Beck, a conservative broadcaster with Blaze TV and the Glenn Beck program, posed a question to one of the Righteous Among the Nations: “How did you do it? How did you take such a righteous stand for the Jews?” Their response was profound. They simply stated, “I just didn’t go off the cliff with everyone else.”
That’s right! Don’t get all caught up in the propaganda of this rebellious government and factions among your nation. Stay steady and faithful to God. Be in and a part of a church family who abides with Jesus, who fear God, teach, and keep His commandments. When the opportunity presents itself to protect your neighbor, don’t allow the fear of others to cause you to lose your fear of God and miss the opportunity to stand in the gap for those being wrongly persecuted. Jesus tells us, “Greater love has no man, that he lay down his life for another.” John 15:13
Will You be among the Righteous Among the Nations?
Your life is your test. God has given you a time, season, and number of days that you will live. He does so for His own purpose, to see if you will reach out and touch Him, though He is not far from you. Acts 17:27 The most important way to touch God’s heart is to believe Him which is to love Him, which is to obey Him. Therefore, as a believer, it is fundamental for us to learn the teachings of Jesus and follow Him. If we do not, we do not love Him, and we are not His disciple. John 8:31; John 14:24.

The Biblical Understanding of Israel, the Jews, and Christians
Romans 11:1-32 (NIV)
The Remnant of Israel
I ask then: Did God reject his people the Jews? By no means! I, Paul, am an Israelite myself, a descendant of Abraham, from the tribe of Benjamin. God did not reject his people the Jews, whom he foreknew. Don’t you know what Scripture says in the passage about Elijah—how he appealed to God against Israel: “Lord, they have killed your prophets and torn down your altars; I am the only one left, and they are trying to kill me”? And what was God’s answer to him? “I have reserved for myself seven thousand who have not bowed the knee to Baal.”
By Grace
So too, at the present time there is a remnant chosen by grace. And if by grace, then it cannot be based on works; if it were, grace would no longer be grace.
What then? What the Jews of Israel sought so earnestly they did not obtain. The elect among them did, but the others were hardened, as it is written:
“God gave the Jews a spirit of stupor, eyes that could not see and ears that could not hear, to this very day.”
Ingrafted Branches
Again, I ask: Did the Jews stumble so as to fall beyond recovery? Not at all! Rather, because of their transgression, salvation has come to the Gentiles to make Israel envious. But if the Jews transgression means riches for the world, and their loss means riches for the Gentiles, how much greater riches will the Jews full inclusion bring!
I am talking to you Gentiles. Inasmuch as I am the apostle to the Gentiles, I take pride in my ministry in the hope that I may somehow arouse my own people, my fellow Jews, to envy and save some of them. For if the Jews rejection of Jesus as the Messiah brought reconciliation to the world, what will their acceptance of Jesus as the Messiah, Son of God, be but life from the dead? If the part of the dough offered as first fruits is holy, then the whole batch is holy; if the root is holy, so are the branches.
If some of the branches have been broken off, and you, though a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root, do not consider yourself to be superior to the Jews, the other branches. If you do, consider this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you. You will say then, “Branches were broken off so that I could be grafted in.” Granted. But they were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but tremble. For if God did not spare the natural branches, the Jews who didn’t believe, he will not spare you either.
Consider therefore the kindness and sternness of God: sternness to those who fell, but kindness to you, provided that you continue in his kindness. Otherwise, you also will be cut off. And if the Jews do not persist in unbelief, they will be grafted in, for God is able to graft the Jews back in again. After all, if you were cut out of an olive tree that is wild by nature, and contrary to nature were grafted into a cultivated olive tree, how much more readily will Jews, the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree!
All Israel Will Be Saved
I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers and sisters, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in, and in this way all Israel will be saved. As it is written:
“The deliverer will come from Zion; he will turn godlessness away from Jacob. And this is my covenant with them when I take away their sins.”
As far as the gospel is concerned, the Jews are enemies for your sake; but as far as election is concerned, the Jews are loved on account of the patriarchs, for God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable. Just as you who were at one time disobedient to God have now received mercy as a result of the Jews disobedience, so the Jews too have now become disobedient in order that they too may now receive mercy as a result of God’s mercy to you. For God has bound everyone over to disobedience so that he may have mercy on them all.
God’s Call for Christians to stand for The Jews and Israel
The Root of David, Yeshua Jesus, our Messiah, calls for us to honor and make room for the original branches who were cut off to make a way for us, who are not Jewish, to be saved, grafted into Jesus. For a day is coming, where they’ll no longer be blinded for our sake, and their eyes will be open, and they’ll see Jesus as the Messiah He is to them as well as us and receive Him as their Lord. This will happened as Paul writes, when the ‘full number of non-Jews are saved.’ One could only imagine how the sternness of our God will deal with those who choose to be arrogant, self-seeking and reject an opportunity to stand for and protect the Jewish people, the original branches. As Paul tells us, if we reject the Jews, the original branches, we are risking being cut off ourselves from Jesus.
