In this moment of wisdom found in Proverbs 18:6, John shares how throughout the book of Proverbs there is a continual comparison between the actions of fools and those who have godly wisdom. Proverbs tells us that foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child. He continues to share how a fool’s lips bring him strife, disturbance of peace, in his or her life and the power of words to either build up or destroy. It’s time to let go of foolish ways and to abide and get God’s word in us to chip away at the foolishness so that you will have a reservoir of God’s word in you that will allow you to speak out of the overflow of what has been deposited, God’s word.
