It’s not about the “OUTER” Life but about the INNER Life
John, Greg, and Pat discuss how Jesus confronted and challenged the “religious” Pharisees in his day.  In Mathew 5:1-10, the Pharisees were more concerned about the outer life and the traditions of men that can be seen.  They asked Jesus why the disciples did not wash their hands before they ate.  Jesus was clear to say that it’s not what goes into a man that makes him unclean but what comes out of the mouth.  Religion in this context is defined as emphasizing the traditions of men that nullify God’s Word.   Jesus called the Pharisees blind guides.  Jesus is not concerned about our outer life He is concerned about our inner life.  He said in Matthew 15:18, “but the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these make a man unclean.”
          U. S. Citizenship Test and Game, Humor: 56-60
Greg, Pat and John revisit the citizenship test given to people who want to become citizens of the United States. They have fun answering questions given on the test, with Greg asking the questions as the host, with Jeopardy music and all.  They answer questions like:  When is the last day that you can send in Federal Income Tax Forms?  When must all men register for selective service?  What is one reason colonialist came to America?  Who lived in America before the Europeans did?  What group of people were taken to America and sold as slaves?
A Gossip Separates Close Friends
In this moment of wisdom found in Proverbs 16:28, “A perverse man stirs up dissension, and a gossip separates close friends.”  Perverse is defined as showing a deliberate and obstinate; to behave in a way that is unreasonable.  A gossip is one who separates close friends.   It’s a sad reality that so often is repeated as the perverse sinful heart opens the door for Satan to set their tongue on fire with words that are not true, or confirmed that divides.   These gossips who fail to deal with their hearts, have no hope in trying to tame their tongue as James speaks of in
James 3:2-9.  The hope for a gossip is to repent before the Lord and to try to make things right with those they have separated.
Careful the next Review can be about You

We live in a society today that has gotten very comfortable writing reviews as customers of products, services and businesses.  This has progressed to students who rate and review their college professors.  It’s an amazing thing when a Christian rants and evaluates publicly on online posts like Facebook and other companies feedback page.  The question is; are these who are judging ready to be judge or reviewed publicly by their spouse, child or parent.  We should take Jesus’ truth to heart found in Matthew 7:1-5., “Do not judge or you too will be judged.”
