LISTEN NOW! John, Greg and Pat discuss how important it is to keep your eyes on God when He calls you to do something. Whatever God calls you to do, He will be the one to empower you to do it and bring it to pass, if we follow Him. If God want’s you in a certain place He knows how to position you exactly for it. However, if we take our eyes off of God and put them on ourselves and begin to make happen what God said He was going to do then we are moving in pride. Abram and Sarai experienced this in Genesis 15 and 16. God told Abram that he was going to make his descendants as many as the sand on the seashore and as numerous as the stars in the sky. However, Abram’s wife got ahead of God and thought how she could bring what God said to pass offering Abram her maidservant to conceive a child since the Lord had kept her from birthing any children. This act of self-focus and pride birthed Ishmael, a situation that we still have to face today. It does matter if you are the leader for you to lead and not submit what God is telling you to your wife or anyone else. God had mercy on Abraham. It does matters how we respond to what the Lord calls us to do. God’s plans, God’s ways, and God’s timing = Success.
