LISTEN NOW! John, Pat and Steve discuss the fragility of life and about having compassion for those who are less fortunate. Today in the United States of America nearly 600,000 people are homeless. They share about a recent article reported by CBN in where a woman by the name of Freddie Powers has been ministering to the homeless people of Charlotte, North Carolina. They continued to share Allie’s story. Allie is teenager who lives in “Slab City” a place where her family of 11 live in their RV. She shares about her life and the struggles of living with her family because of the lack of money and resources. They continued to share the importance of having compassion for the poor and for those who are disadvantaged. The Bible shares in Proverbs 19:17 “He who is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done”. They challenge us by encouraging us to appreciate what we have and by sharing God’s perspective on the poor.
