Empathizing with Israel: If we As Christians Stand with Israel Today Maybe there will be someone who will Stand with us Tomorrow
LISTEN NOW! Greg, Pat, and John continue the conversation regarding Israel and the critical hour that we are in on Earth. Amidst the many different narratives about Israel, as believers it is imperative that we stand with Israel and for Israel. Tension remains for those in Southern Israel as rockets from Gaza continue to be fired against Israelis. Since 2001, over 8,000 missiles have been shot in the town of Sderot, also known as “Rocket Town”. While there may not be rockets, or continual threats of harm in other parts of the world, it is important to remain in a place of empathy towards our Jewish brothers and sisters, if not, the church is next. Pastor Martin Niemöller details the exact empathetic perspective we must have towards Israel:
“First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.
Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.”

Israelis Using their Cell Phones as a Tool to Protect Themselves: New Red Alert App Warns of incoming Rockets- DOWNLOAD Today
Greg, Pat and John share about the recent advancements by a 13 year old boy, Liron Be’er, and the timely app he designed and created from his own bedroom that indicates when a rocket has been fired into Israel. With the continual barrage of rocket fire coming into Israel from Gaza, any additional awareness for Israelis to find cover will have a major impact. It’s called “Red Alert”, and with one simple download, you will receive immediate notification when an incoming rocket has been shot into Israel. While this app is saving lives for those in Israel, it can also be used to remind the world to pray for Israel. Download the app today and keep Israel on the forefront of your heart, and so much more. Also shared in this segment: Coffee Shops, Angry Birds, missile defense, prayer, technology, and Israel.
