Anti-Defamation League: Anti-Semitism on the Rise in the World
John, Pat and Steve share about the world’s perspective is continually growing more and more Anti-Semitic (anti-Jewish). The Anti-Defamation League is reporting that 25% of 100 countries polled express a deep hatred for the nation of Israel. Anti-Semitic events are occurring across the globe and they are increasing. Crowds are massing expressing their hatred towards the Jews and chanting, “Gas the Jews!”, “Death to the Jews”.
There is a repeated narrative that is being shouted across the globe that consistently against Israel. The images that are being broadcasted regarding the Gaza- Israel conflict consistently pictures Palestinian children injured and Israel soldiers in Gaza. Based on this, what other ideas will be concluded, other than Israel is the bad guy. It is important to remember that Israel is 70 miles wide at its widest point. It is smaller than the state of New Jersey. How can so many nations across the globe have such hatred towards the Jews and the nation of Israel? It is imperative for the church to pay attention to what they’re hearing. Without an understanding of the history of these conflicts we are at the mercy of those who are telling us what it is.
As the church, we must not be ignorant towards these realities. We must stand with Israel, we must pray for Israel, and we must pray for the leadership of Prime Minister Netanyahu. Update on ISIS; The Church in Iraq Open its Doors to Refugees and Isis warns they are in America
John, Pat and Steve share an update on what is occurring in Iraq and the activities of ISIS. The dam in Northern Iraq has been taken back by the Kurds, taken from ISIS control, causing 500,000 + people not to have their homes flooded stretching as far south as Baghdad. CBN reports how Iraqis have had to flee the Northern parts of Iraq because of the ultimatums given by ISIS, convert, leave or die. Amidst the fleeing, it is the church where refugees are finding safety. Pastor Majeed Mohammed said, “We don’t care that they are Christians, Azidis, Muslims. We don’t care about that because they are human beings. They have been kicked out of their homes by ISIS and terrorist groups. We wanted to show them that as Christians we love them and are very glad to have them here and save them.” It is this important and significant role that the church is playing in this region that is allowing many to be safe. Amidst continuing growing concern regarding the actions of ISIS we can be encouraged and at peace knowing that God is control. We can stand against this as we stand with God and with Israel.
