John, Pat and Steve share the heartbreaking news of a Brooklyn, NY Rabbi that was murdered in Miami Dade. 60year old Rabbi Joseph Raksin was visiting Miami to see his daughter and grandchild. It is important to remember, tragedies such as these are happening first to “the Saturday people”- the Jews, and then “the Sunday people”- the Christians. We cannot be lulled to sleep by entertainment. Doing so, we will fail to have compassion about such truths. Find out how locals to Miami Dade are responding, and so much more. Also shared in this segment: Miami-Dade Police Department, temple, The Anti-Defamation League of Florida, and prayer.

In order to best develop this technology, Microsoft interviewed actual personal assistants to get a better understanding of what exactly they do. What they found out will actually surprise you. When is increasing technology too much technology? When is it enough? As the church, we must not submit to technology; technology must submit to us. It is moments like this, that reinforces nothing beats a physical Bible, a journal, and a pen. Foundations of Rejoicing

Steve, John, and Pat discuss how amidst the abundance of entertainment in today’s society, there are few people that are fulfilled. Like a sugar rush, entertainment only lasts for a short time. Entertainment fuels the flesh, while joy fuels the soul. When we remember the finished work of the Cross and what Jesus Christ did for us, it causes rejoicing. Leonard Ravenhill said: “entertainment is the devil’s substitute for joy”. The more we understand the joy of the finished work of the cross, the more the entertainment of the world fades away. Amidst the increasing darkness and evil in the world, don’t get discouraged; rejoice in who Jesus is and what He has done for you. Find out the perspective that will give you lasting peace and fulfillment, and so much more. Also shared in this segment: Pharisees, cancelling debt, forgiveness, and salvation.

Epic Pools Vs. the Poor and Needy of the World- Seeking a Biblical Perspective and Responsibility for Possessing Wealth
John, Pat and Steve share how John had a recent time with his boys as they came across a TV program that highlighted the imaginative creations and the significant amount of money it took to bring about such creations, in one’s own backyard. All these abilities, all these resources, can cause you to think: only in America. America truly is a blessed land when someone can spend millions of dollars on water slides and pools. How does all of this add up in eternity? The Bible gives a timely perspective of how we should view such prosperity and blessings: From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked. –Luke 12:48

With great wealth comes great responsibility. If you were given millions of dollars, what would it go toward? Reportedly, 80% of the world lives on less than $10 a day. When we give, that is when we will truly be blessed. Find out a perspective of such wealth, how God sees such wealth, and so much more. Also shared in this segment: fingers, hearts, eternity, the poor, UNICEF, tram systems, and compassion.
