John, Pat, and Steve continue the conversation about Newt Gingrich’s book, Rediscovering God in America. Currently, in today’s generation, the conversation against the existence of God and the presence of God is increasing. Prayer is being taken out of schools and the acknowledgement of God is being pulled more and more out of daily conversations. Even during Christmas time, the Nativity Scene is being removed from federal buildings for fear of offending others.
What is significant to realize is how boldly the forefathers of America lived contrary to what is being done today. Carved into the walls of the memorial are the words of the Gettysburg Address that Lincoln delivered. It is important to recognize the role that God played in the foundation of the beginning days of America as well as within the lives of those who fought for the freedom of it. Find out how significant Abraham Lincoln viewed God in his life, and so much more. Also shared in this segment: Original Intent, history, Washington D.C., Nativity Scene, The Civil War, and The Gettysburg Address.
