The year 2020 and the Intimate Connections of Advancing Technology; A Day in the Life
Each of us have been impacted by technology in our daily lives. According to Forbes Magazine, by the year 2020 there will be 7.3 billion smartphones, tablets, and PCs; and 26 billion connected devices around the globe. From the time you wake up, how you interact in the workplace, make business decisions, even how you drive your car, or how you don’t drive your car, will be effected. The world we live in is vastly different than what we could of imagined it to be just a few short years ago. The same can be said about the changing technology that is only a few years in the future. Take a walk with “Charlie” during a day in the life of a 2020 world, and so much more. What is the Speed Limit of Love?
In our day to day lives, we can begin to have routines. We drive the same roads. We cross the same intersections. We know when to hit cruise and when to “tap the brakes”. Without even knowing it, we can coast through our driving routines without even a glance at the speed limit signs. Ironically, only in the unfamiliar cities do we turn to those riding with us, “what is the speed limit here?” Suddenly, we are driving with the intention of looking for the posted speed limit. How do we respond to the people to the left and right of the “highway” of our lives? Relying on the familiarity of our “routine” could cause us to drive past the people to our left or right, without even knowing it.
