LISTEN NOW! In light of the recent events that have unfolded from the streets of Baltimore, many have shared their own perspective of the events. Few have been as balanced and clear as ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith’s statement. According to Smith, “We have to understand the difference between police brutality and a brutal act by a particular police officer.” Smith brings profound insight about the use and outcome of the term “police brutality” and how it causes division when used.
