U.S. Congressman brings the Gospel to Belarus’ Government for Transformation
In Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus delivered the Great Commission to His disciples; “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” This is exactly what has transpired when New Mexico Republican Steve Pearce traveled to the Belarus Parliament to share the Gospel. This may not appear out of the ordinary when compared to others who have traveled to other nations to share the Good News of Jesus Christ, but you may reconsider when it is known that the leadership over Belarus is ruled by Alexander Lukashenko; considered the last dictator of Europe.
When CBN asked Congressman Pearce about his visit to Belarus, he stated, “I go to churches many times and I tell them, ‘My friends you have locked the door and we have been inside singing hymns and praises to each other. The problems are outside the locked doors. If you want your faith to grow then go out there and work with the problems.” Jesus did not call us to have an outside-in focus, He called us to go out into all the world and share with the world that He loves them. Prophecy- Revival Coming to Cuba
During the 1950’s and 1960’s the nation of Cuba was under oppressive leadership at the hands of Fidel Castro. During this time people were very poor, and the Church was ordered that they could not build any buildings. What was the Church to do in a time like this? One may think that the growth in the Church was slow to grow, if any. On the contrary, the Church in Cuba has experienced massive growth. When one missionary visited, he shared this, “Since they didn’t have to focus on building a church or having a property, they were free to just go ahead, and evangelize and start meeting in someone else’s home…There’s simply not the money to pursue entertainment, hobbies or other pursuits that would pull them from the Gospel…….That is one of the reasons that church members spend so much time in church activities. They can spend more time evangelizing their neighbors because they’re not distracted by a lot of material goods…”
Rick Joyner of Morning Star Ministries shares an encouraging prophetic word that he received from the Lord regarding Cuba and the events of revival that would take place sparking the greatest revival seen in Russia. When the Iron Curtain fell, it was as if the Church was not ready. We can respond today with wisdom, and be prepared now in light of what God has said regarding Cuba, what God is doing in Cuba, and what He is about to do. Be encouraged as your mindset of “discipling nations” is radically challenged, and so much more. Myriam gives the world encouraging words by saying, “In the Bible, Jesus said ‘I am with you’, and also He said, ‘forgive others no matter who is hating you, you have to forgive them’. Jesus IS my Father and He IS my Creator. I have no one else better than Him. When ISIS drove us out of our home, His hand was upon us and HE saved us.”
We can all be challenged by the love and forgiveness that Myriam expresses to her enemies and those that sought to harm her. Her perspective needs to be our perspective. Allow your love to be challenged and your forgiveness increase as you see the love of Christ demonstrated in this little girl, and so much more.
