Civil Christianity Walking Together in LOVE: Join the Movement Today- Civil Christianity.org

LISTEN NOW! When Jesus walked the Earth, He wasn’t caught up with the happenings in the world, or the agendas of politics that were taking place in other nations. People often tried to urge Jesus to stay. In Luke 4:43, Jesus said, “I must proclaim the good news of the kingdom of God to the other towns also, because that is why I was sent.” This is exactly what we, as the Church, are called to do. We are called to transform nations for the Glory of God. Bill Bright received a profound revelation from the Lord on how this is carried out. This is now known as the 7 Mountains of Culture; Family, Education, Government, Arts & Entertainment, Religion (The Church), Media, and Business. We must stand up for the Constitution, for what is right and what is true. Love must be our motive in all that we do. Today, we have the gift of those who walked this out in previous generations. One great example of this demonstration is Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. pioneered what is now known as the Civil Rights Movement, spearheading each action by reminding each of the participants that love must be the driving force. He did this by requiring each of those who walked with him to sign their name stating that they would walk in agreement to 10 commitments. Reverend Jessie Douglas was a man that walked with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., literally. In an interview with CBN, Reverend Douglas shares some of his personal stories while walking with Dr. King. As we are seeing the same rising tensions in America today, CBN asks Reverend Douglas how they carried this out. “The approach that you talk about with non-violence, with a Christian perspective, how did you get people convinced to go that route when it goes against human nature?” Reverend Douglas responds by saying, “Well, the persons who participated, had to sign papers promising that they would not violate our non-violent procedure of demonstration.” He continues by saying, ‘Dr. King got us to realize that hate only provokes hate and violence only provokes violence and love is the greatest force on Earth.’

Today, the 10 commitments are carried on, with slight adjustments for today’s technology. You can stand in agreement with those who are standing up for God by going to Civil Christianity.org. When you’ve done everything you can do to stand, all you can then do is stand. Sometimes it is required for us to stand alone, but we must also be OK with the consequences that come with standing for what is right. Allow your faith to be lifted and your boldness to be stirred as you are empowered and encouraged to stand for truth in love, and so much more. Also shared in this segment: CBN, Selma, Bloody Sunday, Montgomery, Memphis, Tennessee, protesters, demonstrators, civil rights, VFN Kingdom Business, love, hate, violence, and hope. Greg and John shared in this segment.
