Is Turkey on its Way to Becoming a caliphate?

The nation of Turkey has been progressively enduring greater and greater shaking and divisions under the leadership of President Erdogan. As the nation is recovering from the failed military coup just weeks ago, President Erdogan is carrying out his own agenda. CBN is reporting that Turkey may be on its way to becoming an Islamic Republic. “Erdogan has detained over 15,000 people, arrested 8,000, and dismissed 60,000 civil servants.”

After Erdogan has carried out this massive event of arrests, detains, and dismissals, he has these words for his nation; “For one time only, I will be forgiving those who disrespected me and insulted me in any way and will be withdrawing all charges against them.” These are not the words of a President. It sounds more like a tyrannical ruler. This is not all. He also has his sights targeted upon the Church as well. As CBN shares, “Protestants are already not allowed to build churches and must call them associations and some were attacked after the coup attempt. Turkey, which once had 2 million Christians, now may have as few as 120,000.”

This same tyrannical display of dictatorial leadership is comparable to what Saddam Husseindid in 1979 when he removed half of his parliamentary opposition. While calmly puffing on a cigar, he silently sat as names were called out during a large conference-like gathering. Each name represented an individual that was against his leadership. As the room systematically increased with overwhelming fear, the remaining attendees were then given weapons and ordered to kill those who had been removed. The Adversary would love to carry out these same events in America.

When we see these events taking place; leaders throughout the world targeting the Church and targeting Jews, it is imperative that we remember: however goes Israel, so goes the Church. We cannot remain silent. If this were to happen in our lives, in our reality, would we know what to do? Would we continue to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ, or would we be frozen in confusion because the leadership has been taken away?

This is the reality that Francis Chan brings to the realization when he brings up the history of Russia and China. Because of Russia’s focus on the buildings and the leadership, the everyday believer didn’t know what to do when oppression removed the leadership. But, in the case of the Church in China it was a remarkably different outcome. In China, the Church focused on the Commandments of Jesus to make disciples and thus, the everyday believer had a solid understanding of the simple things, like leading someone to Christ and making disciples. With this understanding, it is no wonder what happened as a consequence of oppression. “…under Mao Zedong, the persecuted Church grew from 2 million to an estimated, about 80 million in these underground gatherings. Why? Because the people, they understood how to minister to other people. They knew how to teach other people.” The question is not, will oppression come to America? The question is, will we know what to do, and remain faithful to Jesus Christ when it does? A storm is in fact being fashioned. Now, what will do in response to God? Will we choose pride or will we choose humility? The temple of satan organization, wants to start a satanist club in every American Elementary School

It is vital to never underestimate the Devil. When you think he couldn’t get any more evil, he does. Don’t be shocked at the plans of the enemy. According to the Washington Post, an After School Satan Club just may be coming to an elementary school in your area.

When the Satanic Temple of Los Angeles wrote a letter to the Superintendent of the Unified School District in Los Angeles, they cited a 2001 Supreme Court case that allowed Child Evangelism Fellowship to access public schools and thus, the Satanic Temple should have access as well. The Satanic Temple described their programs as:

“a religious organization that seeks to encourage benevolence and empathy among all people. In addition, The Satanic Temple embraces practical common sense and promotes justice. The Satanic Temple facilitates the communication and mobilization of politically aware Satanists, secularists, and other advocates for individual liberty.”

We have the choice not to go the way of these Satanists. Ironically enough, The Washington Post cited the very event of a Satanist’s prayer in a Pensacola City Council meeting. As the Church, we have got to dedicate our cities to the Lord, our counties to the Lord, and everything else under his Lordship and leadership. There was a day when America did not exist. But, a day came when a handful of individuals realized that they wanted to live life free, under the leadership of the Lord. Ultimately, the Declaration of Independence was born, and then The Constitution. If we want to keep America, all we have to do is get right before the Lord. Why lose what so many have died for? Did they Give Away The Internet on September 30, 2016 to Make it a Regular Utility?

Aren’t you glad that you have the freedoms of watching, reading, and seeing the things that you freely choose on the internet? Can you imagine the internet being regulated under the control of the government like a utility? Seems incomprehensible right? It was this very concept that was warned of over a year ago, yet no one seemed to take it seriously at the time.

The internet has had an overwhelming impact on the way business is done throughout the world. All of the industries have moved there. Of all the different goods and trades that are taxed throughout the world, the one thing that has yet to be taxed, is the internet. Well, all of that may soon change.

As the Wall Street Journal reports, “The Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission is proposing tough new regulations today to make sure all internet traffic is treated equally. Chairman Tom Wheeler’s proposal is designed to prevent broadband providers from slowing down or blocking internet traffic. But, the FCC won’t go as far as regulating broadband prices.”

These are the very days that call for wisdom for God’s people. More and more is being regulated by the government. It brings an interesting comparison to the words discussed in Revelation 13:16-17, “It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name.” Presently, just about everything is controlled by the internet. The Progression of Dirt – Humor & Truth – Camping to the Grand Canyon

Some of us may imagine or remember the events that would unfold on a cross-country family road trip filled with sight-seeing and camping. As Greg shares from his personal memories, he highlights how the end of one particular trip was drastically different than from the end of the trip. Greg, being the very clean person that he is, pictures a Holiday Inn when he considers camping. He never considered getting a Minivan, but for some reason it was inside a Minivan that his entire family filled when this illustrious trip began. They were ultimately headed to the Grand Canyon.

After camping and driving all the way to New Mexico, Greg found himself attempting to hammer his tent stakes into a rock that is soil of New Mexico. It was one hurdle after another. When nightfall set in, the inflatable mattresses were full of air; until they attempted to sleep on them; and then they were all snugly resting on the ground, with a thin layer of plastic between them. At least the grass was a luscious green. When the morning sun cast a visible light upon their camp, they soon realized why the green grass was in fact so green. Only a few feet away from their camp was a dumping station.

After finally arriving at the Grand Canyon, Greg attempted to cook a chicken for the family, until it fell squarely in the dry dirt. With no other option at hand, Greg simply dusted the bird off and plopped it down into the pan.

What started off as a clean trip with the best intentions, it was only a matter of time before dirt started to set in, and eventually became an accepted part of the trip. It was to the point that dirt was overwhelming them that it was just part of reality. This progression of dirt is like the progression of sin. We may have the best intentions, but if sin goes unchecked in our lives, we will end up like pigs bathing in the dirt. We no longer see it as uncomfortable but simply a part of life. Regardless of where we are on this journey, we can each turn back to Jesus in repentance and ask Him to wash us and cleanse us.
