Futurist Ray Kurzweil Predicts Technological Advances for 2020 and 2099

Ray Kurzweil , the author of How To Create A Mind, was hired by Google to be able to understand people and how we operate. In this interview, Ray gives predictions of how we will be shopping and living soon. He says by the year 2020, “All physical things we need will be information files.” Ray also says by the end of 2020 virtual reality will be inside our brains! “Once virtual reality goes inside our brains, and that will be here by the late 2020’s…the computer will actually create the environment, and then we can be virtual actors in a virtual environment.” Eating and living life will not be the same either, “We can eat in a virtual environment and have that sensual experience because our brain is receiving these signals as if they were coming from the real world, but it’s actually the virtual world.” Ray continues to explain that we can design our own bodies in the virtual world somewhat like what already exists, where people have avatars representing themselves online.

The conversation continues with talk about bitcoin and currency and where it will be in the coming years. “So, we won’t need to handle currency or even physical devices around; we’ll be able to pay for things virtually.” Ray continues, “The nature of currency is interesting, I mean, what is currency? It’s an agreement system between people that everybody respects. Even terrorists who have very different views of society, and mainstream society; everybody respects money. It’s a big system of agreements that we have…Certainly, payment is already going online.”

In the Word of God, we are told to take captive every thought! “We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” We are to give control of our mind to God and not to some virtual reality and this up and coming virtual reality takes fantasy to a new level. People are getting caught up in this every day! Many are saying things as if they truly know and have experienced what they are talking about, but it is just data that they gained virtually, maybe by searching Google. And because of this many do not have wisdom only knowledge. Jesus Christ is wisdom Himself.
