The Best of Times and the Worst of Times

In this world, we can have the best of times and the worst of times at the same time. Any mother fully understands this paradigm. There are obvious birthing pains that are on the horizon for an expectant mother. In this understanding, there is also the overwhelming joy of new life that comes as well. Looking around the world, it is obvious to see that birthing pains are happening but it is in these difficult experiences and moments of hardship that also bring about great times of joy. “For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:2

Jesus took on our sin and shame so that no matter what is going on in the world we can live a life free of sin when we repent of our sin and accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. Because Jesus endured the cross for the joy on the other side, we can follow His example and through the trials that we face we can face them for the joy that is on the other side of the pain! When people face these trials, it causes them to turn to God because there is nowhere else for them to turn which turns the bad trials into a good thing because it brings people to redemption and salvation. God is doing something powerful in America and the world. We can continue to pray for the turning of our nation and the world to God.
