We are standing at the arena of socialism in America, which is nothing but a bridge to communism, an ungodly government. It is interesting that those who promote socialism and communism or whatever name they want to give their godless form of government that it always requires the destruction of the knowledge of God, the history of God, the ways of God, before those being seduced by it will accept it. Why? It’s because they are wanting to ‘be god’ in lieu of God Himself. They are wanting to replace God and the knowledge of God in your lives.
This is not the people of God first rodeo at the arena of socialism. This is not the first time God’s people are being tempted to leave Him for a promise of socialism, a godless government, who promises to provide them food, clothing and take care of their needs. God’s form of government was His prophets and now apostle and prophets of which Jesus is King and leads His people like the Good Shephard He is.
God’s people demanded a worldly leader, king, like they saw other nations have, where the king defended them, provided for them, even though they would be a slave to that king, socialism, while rejecting God as their King, their leader. God told them that they will have to pay a lot of taxes, lose their best sons in this king’s wars, or as servants to this king and they would have to struggle in providing for their families while the government they demanded would be taken care of over their families. All while knowing it was God who led them safely out of captivity, out of slavery into a blessed and promised land. So, God gave them what they demanded, a king from among their own number, Saul.
Hosea’s entire prophetic books speaks of this reality and at one point nailed it by saying ‘You said, I will go after my lovers, who give me my food and my water and my linen, my oil and my drink.’ Hosea 2:5 Worldly, ungodly people and government, who reject God, and promise you provision in lieu of God, who promise you you will be able to sin as much as you like, permitting sin (other gods), are not for you, they are against God and if you decide to follow them, know that will set you against God. God divorced Israel for this very cause. It’s said, ‘You can vote your way into socialism, but you’ll have to shoot your way out.’
Though there may be a time where God may woo you back to Himself, after a great season of hardship, if you have more breath and life than there is hardship to acknowledge your turning your back on Him for SOCIALism, government over God. Know that when the hardship has come to its end, you’ll have nothing but God and a permanent limp, yet even at that point, you still will have to choose Him.
You may ask, how can you compare socialism to “a lover”? Well, notice the passion one has for taking from others to meet their needs. Notice the darkness that fills the hearts of those who seek such things. Notice how socialism is a promise to rob others in the name of government to give to them. Notice, like the friends of the school yard bully, who get things by his force, turn to government to get robbed from others for their benefit. Notice the permissiveness of its luring its captives. Notice how it seduces ones flesh, by permitting all sins, to gain their soul (soul is what one thinks, feel, and desires). As one would with a lover, they pledge of loyalty to her, allow her to destroy every social construction that has been allowed by God to sustain their lives: marriage, family, sex, finance, education, authority…etc. “just take care of me.” Just like someone who is blinded by their love/lust, their minds are blinded and cannot even see that they are destroying their very selves. It is all a battle for your soul!
In America, the nation was established knowing that our rights come from God, not from government, just like Israel before they demanded a king. In America, government, by and for the people, was instituted to protect our God given rights. One nation under God, not under government. Yet, just like Hosea writes of Israel’s destiny, if God were to lift His hand off of America for this adultery His people have and are committing, then, as many other nations, America will be thrown upon the dustbin of history, a forgotten, once great nation, who turned their backs on the God that allowed them to exist.
Yet, we serve a loving merciful God. He wants you, He is into you, He wants to be in you, yet, He stands at the door of your heart knocking, seeing if you will close your hearts door to sin, to demanding someone else, some socialistic government instead of Him, and open your heart to Him. Jesus is proof that God loves you and has a good plan for your life, while the choice for Jesus as your King, is a choice you will have to decide. Jesus is ruler over the Kings of the Earth. God is King of the Universe. Why would you ever look to earthly kings as your provider, protector, and permitter?
Scorned Lover
“Haul your mother into court. Accuse her! She’s no longer my wife. I’m no longer her husband. Tell her to quit dressing like a whore, displaying her breasts for sale. If she refuses, I’ll rip off her clothes and expose her, naked as a newborn. I’ll turn her skin into dried-out leather, her body into a badlands landscape, a rack of bones in the desert. I’ll have nothing to do with her children, born one and all in a whorehouse. Face it: Your mother’s been a whore, bringing bastard children into the world. She said, ‘I’m off to see my lovers! They’ll wine and dine me, Dress and caress me, perfume and adorn me!’ But I’ll fix her: I’ll dump her in a field of thistles, then lose her in a dead-end alley. She’ll go on the hunt for her lovers but not bring down a single one. She’ll look high and low but won’t find a one. Then she’ll say, ‘I’m going back to my husband, the one I started out with. That was a better life by far than this one.’ She didn’t know that it was I [God] all along who wined and dined and adorned her, that I was the one who dressed her up in the big-city fashions and jewelry that she wasted on wild Baal-orgies. I’m about to bring her up short: No more wining and dining! Silk lingerie and gowns are a thing of the past. I’ll expose her genitals to the public. All her fly-by-night lovers will be helpless to help her. Party time is over. I’m calling a halt to the whole business, her wild weekends and unholy holidays. I’ll wreck her sumptuous gardens and ornamental fountains, of which she bragged, ‘Whoring paid for all this!’ They will soon be dumping grounds for garbage, feeding grounds for stray dogs and cats. I’ll make her pay for her indulgence in promiscuous religion—all that sensuous Baal worship And all the promiscuous sex that went with it, stalking her lovers, dressed to kill, and not a thought for me.” God’s Message! Being Loved by Your Creator
Being loved by Your Creator, the One who gives you life and breath, Who formed you, knit you together in your mother’s womb and breathed the breath of life into you will not take your rejection of Him and His Beloved Son, Jesus, lightly. There is not “another way” to life, for Jesus told us “I am the way, the truth and the life” For not to choose is to choose. Though God loves you, He gave you the agency, the authority, the free will, to choose. God chose you before the foundations of the earth were laid. Now the question all of the Heavenly Hosts, and cloud of witnesses are leaning over the banister of heaven looking at is you and what choice you are going to make. Will you choose God, through His Son, Jesus Christ, Who paid the price for all our adultery, all our lies, all our rejection of Him, all our sin? If you do, all of heaven will rejoice! That is how big it is you deciding to follow Jesus as your Lord!
That is why Jesus was born as a man so that He, God in the flesh, could live as we live, with all the temptations to turn to others and other perverted forms of government to satisfy His flesh, but did not. He lived a sinless life. He did, what we cannot do, and then went to the cross to be sacrificed because of our adultery, our sin. He paid the price for sin, the sin of the world. God placed your sin, my sin and all the sins of the world on Jesus, as a sinless sacrifice, so that the price of sin could be paid for and that we could be forgiven and brought into relationship with God through Jesus. God is in love with the backslider who turned their back on Him, even though He is scorned by them. If they will turn from their sin, repenting (change their mind) and begin to live for God, accepting Jesus as their Lord, their way back to God, God will not only accept them, He will forgive them and remember their adultery no more. He will throw all their (our) evil into the sea of forgetfulness. They will be in right standing with God as if they had never sinned.
It is a dangerous thing to take the love of Your creator for you lightly! It’s not just love, it’s jealous love. God is jealous for you. The time of vengeance by a Scorned Lover is one of the most horrific crime scenes based on my former law enforcement experience. It is not just someone doing something wrong, but it is someone choosing another lover over God. A scorned lover doesn’t just break something, they tear it to pieces, scar it, they harm the person so bad that their lovers will no longer want anything to do with them.
God Wants You Back
“And now, here’s what I’m going to do: I’m going to start all over again. I’m taking her back out into the wilderness where we had our first date, and I’ll court her. I’ll give her bouquets of roses. I’ll turn Heartbreak Valley into Acres of Hope. She’ll respond like she did as a young girl, those days when she was fresh out of Egypt. “At that time”—this is God’s Message still—“you’ll address me, ‘Dear husband!’ Never again will you address me, ‘My slave-master!’ I’ll wash your mouth out with soap, get rid of all the dirty false-god names, not so much as a whisper of those names again. At the same time I’ll make a peace treaty between you and wild animals and birds and reptiles, And get rid of all weapons of war. Think of it! Safe from beasts and bullies! [godless governments] And then I’ll marry you for good—forever! I’ll marry you true and proper, in love and tenderness. Yes, I’ll marry you and neither leave you nor let you go. You’ll know me, God, for who I really am.” Hosea 2:14-20 (The Message)
Your Decision
If you are ready to leave your lovers, your life of sin, which God calls adultery, and accept God’s love for You through His Son Jesus, you can do that at this very moment by praying this prayer to Jesus, and meaning it in your heart.
Prayer:
Dear Jesus,
I have sinned against You, I have committed adultery against You and I’ve sinned against others. Forgive me for my sins, wash me clean from the filth of my adultery, I turn from my fleshly lusts to You Jesus. I choose You as the Lord of my life. I’m all yours. Come live in my heart, be the Lord of my life I pray in Jesus’ name.
