Facebook is not going away any time soon. Considering Facebook’s most recent development, is Facebook trying to take on a more ‘human’ feel? Alex Schultz, VP of Growth for Facebook, has a current task actually attempting to ‘code’ compassion into Facebook. When being interviewed by CNN Money, an interesting concern arises: “it’s hard not to see technology, like Facebook, as standing in the way of real-world relationships, as transforming people into pixels on a screen”. Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer Shares Secret on How She Gets it all DONE
Some may not be familiar with the name ‘Marissa Mayer’, but she is quote “the recognizable figure” in the technology world. As the present CEO of search engine ‘Yahoo’, she is now the youngest CEO, at 37 years-old. Before her time at Yahoo, she added considerable input to the company Google. Reportedly, she is responsible for ‘Google Maps’ and ‘Gmail’. No small feat. In her busy life of corporate leadership, she is also a new mother. When being interviewed by Fortune Magazine, she was asked what the most important thing she does to get it all done, she responds, “You have to ruthlessly prioritize”. Being from Wisconsin, she quotes Vince Lombardi, “In my life there are three things: God, family, and the Green Bay Packers. In that order.” In her case, she expresses her priorities as “God, family, and Yahoo. In that order.”
Regardless of who we are, all of us can attest to the many distractions, emails, phone calls, and tasks that seem to always be beckoning our full attention. In order for us to be productive, we have to be able to say no to some things and yes to others. In the case of eternity, the question is not; are we being productive; the question is, are we being fruitful? Jesus clearly states in John 15:8, “This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.” We have to know that which is important today so that we can avoid the regrets of tomorrow. Tomorrow’s regrets can be avoided by slowing down and prioritizing the life that we are living.
It is one thing to say what our priorities are, but what does our life show our priorities to be? How do we spend our time? When we understand God’s purposes for our life we are more capable of capturing the opportunities that God puts before us. Revivalist Steve Hill said, “The opportunity of a lifetime must be seized within the lifetime of that opportunity”. Truth of the matter is we tend to focus too much on what our desires are opposed to what God’s desires are. Matthew 6:33 reveals, “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”
The question is, how do we put God first in our lives? What does this look like on a practical level? We can begin each and every one of our days by simply spending time with God. By reading His Word, the Bible, hearing His voice, and doing what He calls us to do, it is only a natural progression that we become more like Him. Jesus says in John 15:4, “Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.” We may be doing many things, but apart from Jesus, our actions have no Kingdom value. It is inside of an abiding relationship with Jesus, that our lives can take on significance, that ultimately greatly impacts the Kingdom.

Voice of Healing Moment Testimonies- Healing, Signs, Wonders, and Miracles
During the 1940’s a powerful outpouring of God’s Spirit released many powerful healings. A publication known as “Voice of Healing” documented many healings within the ministries of evangelists such as Jack Coe, A.A. Allen, and William Branham. The Voice of Healing Magazine helped spread the testimonies of these healings all throughout the world. It was J. Gordon Lindsey, who started the magazine.
Lindsey’s son, Dennis Lindsey, was recently invited to the Jim Bakker Show where he shared some of his memories and experiences. During the time of his father’s tent revivals, a young boy, Ronnie Coyne, had been present who had lost his eye sight. According to Dennis, Coyne’s eye was replaced with a plastic eye. One particular day, the young boy went up front for prayer, not for his eye, but for his throat. As he was about to walk away, the boy was asked, “Son, do you believe the Lord can heal your eye?” “Well, yeah” the boy responded. Suddenly, he began to see, THROUGH THE PLASTIC EYE! Thirty years later, Dennis saw Coyne, now an adult, sharing the testimony of what God had done in his life.
Ginger Lindsey shares a testimony that took place in her own life regarding a rash that she experienced on her face. When doctors gave her a cream, it disappeared during the time that she used the cream. As she progressed in her pregnancies with her children, the rash grew worse with each pregnancy. She describes what it was like at its worst moments. “It expanded and took over my whole face… I looked like I had poison ivy, I had measles. I had fluid under my skin and my eyes were in little slits; it was red; it was bumpy; it was a mess”. Realizing that the cream wasn’t the answer. Ginger knew it was time to fast and pray to God.
She was sure in her heart that her healing was hers. “Lord, I know healing is mine. Your Word says so and I’m going to stand on that Word.” After continual prayer, she encountered a woman that prayed for her. “That eczema on your face; that is just a hormone imbalance…be healed of that hormone imbalance”. She continued to claim her healing. After three months, she finally saw a change.
This is such a powerful truth to understand. Ginger didn’t rely on what she saw; she went by the truth of God’s Word! God wants you to be healed, in Jesus’ name. Franklin and his daughter Cissie continue the breath-taking journey through the Holy Land of Israel as they recount and remember the footsteps of Jesus. The Jericho Road was a large intersection during the times of the Bible connecting areas such as Moab, Jericho, and Galilee. It was this very road that Jesus talks about during an exchange with an expert of the law.
When this expert of the law asked about eternal life, Jesus began to tell the story of the Good Samaritan after a brief exchange. It was on this road that a man was beaten and his clothes were stripped from him. Both a priest and a Levite saw the man, but passed him by. When a Samaritan man saw him, he then stopped to not only help the man, but provide him shelter. In Luke 10:36, Jesus asks the expert of the law, “Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?”“The one who had mercy on him”, the man replied.
